FLIR is Forward Looking Infra Red. It is a device that can detect the heat signatures coming from grow houses from miles away. The houses they show light up like Christmas tree's and stick out like a sore thumb compared with normal houses.

They can also use this technology to detect the heat signatures from outdoor crops as Cannabis emits a unique heat signal. Although most of this detection is usually done by an observant spotter who looks for the very distinctive colour of Cannabis from the air. That is why outdoor growers go to so much trouble to hide their crops.

Just read your post in the tv shows / internet shows and i dont recall the hive, but overgrow i do. And some of my friends used to use an Aussie site that used to sell seeds and clones and stuff, it was closed down as the guy got busted, i cant even recall the name anymore, but it was a nice place to browse all those awesome looking strains and stuff. I think i recall one of his family or the partners ratted on him. Always wondered how it stayed up for so long, but alas it died.

edit > I think it was called MJOZ seed bank (and you could order seeds and cuttings and they'd send them to you thru the post, i recall one friend got cutting sent to them in a video cassette cover, 2 clones inside it, inside an express post sealed bag) lol crazy.

I remember that one. But didn't know the story. Thanks for that. On a side note the unique Aussie stealth strains from there; Aussie Bastard Cannabis and Wally Ducksfoot are still getting around :)

Overgrow was awesome and was the best resource we had for Cannabis. I guess that is why the DEA shut it down. I remember freaking out when I saw the DEA page come when I tried to log in one day.
 
so ganja plants omit more heat or more infa red than other plants? how does that work

I think auto flowering means they dont require a change in light cycle to flower only to reach a certain age. The pictures I've seen have been of very short plants that look like one big bud coming out of the pot. Apparently the quality isnt that great but you get your harvest quicker and off smaller plants.

That's it. Perfect for the Sea Of Green style of growing. Problem is you run the risk of getting busted with a much higher number of plants.

I think they are starting to do more research about what ends up in the finished product from what I've read some dispensaries have all their product tested for various contaminants. I'm pretty sure they have both indoor and outdoor. Both would have the possibility of contamination I reckon.

Someone put this link in Cannabis Discussion not sure how prevalent plant growth regulators are over here and how harmful they are. Doesnt mean all hydro growers use them though, obviously some people do it organically.

Every batch that comes in gets put under a huge magnifying glass and a staff worker checks for bugs, glass, etc.

They have really got their act together over there.

normally when u set up a indoor grow you completely clean the room removing any chance of pests or disease. out door plants are exposed to alot more bugs pests and disease its also a hell of a task getting the PH right with a a out door grow usually you have to buy a bag of garden lime to increase PH or buy a bag of garden sulphur to lower the PH you also have to buy a PH soil testing kit and do regular checks on the PH of the soil all that costs money and alot of work (on top of good ferts and nutes your looking at $100+).also keeping weeds (grass was my main problem) out of your grow area.you can also have cloudy days like busty pointed out not giving the plant proper light.also as busty pointed out you can control the light conditions for ya plants. for my seedlings i put the light on for 22 hours a day witch you would NEVER get out doors.

A good grower won't let people visit their rooms as it is known that unfortunately some jealous people like to sabotage set ups by carrying bugs in on their clothing or hair :(

fuckin hell of alot of more work than growing indoors plus it can only be done once a year! indoors can be done at any time and if u have no back yard or some shit :)

yes a autoflowering plant will start budding no matter what the light conditions are i left them under 20 hours of light per day at the end i lowerd it to 18 hours but they will bud even if u have them under 24 hours of light.also about the tricoms all u need is a x5 microscope.the autoflowering plants are quite small but surprisingly dense i got 1 oz off each plant 1 big fat bud with %15.9 THC :p

i find most the pests or diseases come on the shoes so dipping your shoes in a bleach bath takes this problem away ( i used to have to do that when i worked in a plant nursery) also if u have been around other plant during the day its a good idea to change clothes.dont forget some pests can come in the soil aswell i've had to face this problem witch was a total bitch.fucking inhaling little flying black bugs while water your plants is not fun at all

And it sends your electricity bills through the roof. Might be ok if your a rich person or a dealer tho i guess.

or ur parents pay the bills...
