We had better get this back on topic as I can talk Cannabis all night.
So Hydro vs Bush?
So Hydro vs Bush?
i dont know why there's this comment misconception that INDOOR weed is strong rember not all "hydro" is tru hydroponicly grown it could be grown under a light in soil.as the others have said it all comes down to the grower and strain of pot the nutes and ferts added, how long it was grown for (some pot can be pulled up early fucking up potency u cn also over mature you pot and that lowers potency) it all comes down to the grower and the strain.some of the strongest pot i've smoke has been grown out doors, indoor weed needs more attention so that would be the only reason i cn see why indoor weed can be quite strong if its a good strain like super skunk or some shit
i get the real strainsi don't know how close you guys are to your dealers, but how do you know for sure that what you have is actually indoor (hydro or otherwise) or outdoor or the strain the dealer is claiming?
come on guys, i used to sling the stuff and just made up whatever got that specific customer excited and coming back for more, i had no idea what it was.
dont needa make up bs then That is a good point about indoor needing more attention. That hasn't been mentioned yet.
I haven't seen true Hydroponics in 20 years now. Everyone went Bio-Organic under lights back in the 90's. Everyone still calls it Hydro though.

Why does indoor need more attention? In a controlled indoor environment shouldnt they need less attention/less variables to attend too?
fair enough, i'm in the UK and nothing is really grown outside. but the strains?
I replied to you dude. Post #26
You have to check everyday to see whether it is burning down![]()
You have to add nutes regularly as well. That would still be a hell of a lot better than carrying water to your plants or setting up irrigation in the bush though.
yea man thanks i saw, but what i mean is on the street level, when a dealer is selling you whatever, how are you supposed to know that what they say it is is what it is?
to me, weed is weed, some is dry, some is moist, some is fluffy, some is dense, some has crystals, some is trimmed better, but it all just gets you high.
i don't know if i lived in US and had a MM card i would be able to tell the difference.

Yeh I see your point apparently they do leap up under bulbs quickly. Are you in sa?
If you applied your skills to outdoors I think you would give yourself a pleasant surprise vb![]()
Genetics is probably the greatest limiting factor so in theory the same strength should be produced but indoor/hydro has the advantage of shortening the cycles and using shorter "nights" and longer "days" to greatly increase yields in a shorter space of time. This also limits the real time exposure to pests and disease. In effect at 3 months your indoor plant has experiences for example the equivalent of 5 months growing compared to an out door plant, without any "cloudy" days. I guess it is debatable whether these artificial conditions may not be completely compatible with a natural organism, it could be argued that by creating a Frankenstein plant you some how suck the soul from the weed. Personally after the 2nd or 3rd cone I doubt I could tell the difference.
The real advantage if all other factors are ignore is the ability to judge and control nutrients. In the ground outside you have competition where as with a hydro set upi you can measure nutrient levels and make real time adjustments. There is also no competition from weeds. It isn't fool proof, more isn't a guarantee of better results just as taking steroids doesn't guarantee optimum results in the gym. You need balance and a poorly grown hydro is no match for a perfectly grown outdoor.
Then you have the "green thumb" effect where a plant whisperer somehow has the uncanny knack of growing anything anywhere.
