I've had a search about, and haven't found anything much. I was doing dumbbell pullovers, 9 days ago, for the first time. They murdered, at the time, and for days after. I was fine after about 5 days (which is a long time). However, if I stretch my triceps, I still get fairly bad pain in them. What the fuck is going on? Is it because I hammered an exercise I'd never done before?

I've had to give up pull overs/skull crushers up completely because I just can't seem to get the form right. I can go through the movements perfect, but it annihilates my elbows. I think it might just put way too much pressure on the joint at high weights. I wouldn't do those exercises anymore if I were you because I had to take it easy for about fortnight for mine to clear up. I went back to doing the skull crushers and they went straight back to being fucked.

Other than that though how is the protein powder treating you? Are you still shedding the fat and increasing the muscle? Horizon this week was on intermittent fasting if you're interested!

I need to get into shape, I really feel unfit. Lost about 8/9 pounds recently but just through watching what I'm eating, need to exercise but can't find the motivation.

Get on yer bike Spade. Easiest exercise to get into as lots of freewheeling to get your breath back and if you want to increase the workload just pedal faster.

Im tempted to go for a swift 10 miler tonight. Braw and sunny in the Dee this fine evening.

Went and did some more, today. Used a 22KG dumbbell, rather than 25KG - like last time. Had no issue cracking out three sets. The first time, it felt like I was really tearing myself, which must have been the case. I can now stretch, without pain - which often happens, if I work out a slightly achy muscle. I really like that exercise, personally.

Only been on the protein a week or two, so don't know how it's affecting me, but I'm sure it's doing its thing. I'm sure I'm still seeing gains and fat reduction. I'll try and catch that Horizon. Cheers.

Yeah I suspected that I was probably going too heavy, but then I thought if i'm going above my optimum 8-12 reps then it's not a good exercise. But it does really build up your triceps, doesn't it! Try it with a tricep bar and you'll really feel the burn :D In a 5 lb tub (2.2kg) there is roughly 9350 calories (in my ON stuff any way), which should translate to roughly 3lbs of extra muscle, perhaps closer to 5 lbs if it's used at precise times especially if it's pure protein. I think the rough calculation is that it's 2500-3500 cals to put on or drop to increase or decrease your weight by 1 lb.

Haven't had a bike since I was about 14. Bright and sunny indeed, been a nice day.

letting myself slip, aint checked the scales in weeks, couldnt give a shit atm

I lost all the weight I wanted to a few weeks back and resumed eating shite and drinking too much. Thought I'd be putting it back on but somehow lost a bit more. :\

Phew yeah! Me and a friend just got back from a 30 mile-ish cycle up past Cramond. Saw the beautiful River Almond on the way back. Lush day! Absolutely shattered now.

Can you explain this bit, please? I'm not really sure what you mean.

You need to lose roughly 2500-3500 cals from your diet to lose a pound, you have to increase the calories in your diet by roughly 2500-3500 to gain a pound.

Where did you do abs then? When you got back or in the middle of the ride? :? Don't tell me you went an entire day without working them out?! Blasphemy!

I do 300 variations of these each day. That's it though.

Oh Jesus, don't say that with MSB around! :D

I do something similar, he does not approve. I am very happy with my results though. Gives me added protection from body shots and my wife loves the washboard abs. ;)

Do you do your lower back too? Otherwise there will be no balance and you'll be dragged forward and have a tendency to hunch. That's what i've noticed.

FG abs are 90% to do with how much fat you're carrying and 10% about what you do in the gym.

I just started doing those abs exercises above but am not sure what kind I can do for my lower back MSB. I dont want a hunch 8o Can you recommend some please.

Blood pressure is down to 122/72 since I stopped with the heavy drug use :)

I think at the worst point it was 149/98.
