Why is the neurotoxicity level of meth and dexamp being used interchangeably? Does meth not produce a 500% increase in dopamine release as opposed to dexamp?

i'mma just say this^hmmmm
well i was addicted to dexedrine and adderall as well as other stimulants (eventually meth) for over 5 years, and i started at 10mg of adderall and i was tweaked off my ass. Admittedly, at the time I was only 13 years old, and I wasn't a very big guy, but even now, i see people with no amp tolerance take 20mg and they're high as a kite. Tolerance is something you want to avoid with amphetamines, which is why I said to never exceed 40mg, because after that dose, it seems that side effects get very intense, and neurotoxicity is right around the corner if you start to up your dose after 40mg. I've never exceeded 90mg, and thank god, because after that I'm just hurting my brain and body for no reason.
Remember this is an HR forum, that's HARM REDUCTION, not a "how to get as fucked up as possible".
That's the tricky part about answering a question like this though, everybody is so different in their body type, and how they react to different substances. You can't really put a number on it.
Even LD50 applies to just the average, there is a good chance any given person is under or over the LD50 so I'm not sure it's really a safe guideline to go by.
Best advice I can offer is to start small, then slowly add more as you feel you must. That way you don't find yourself in a situation where you are unexpectedly in dangerous territory.

you mustn't have been deep in "addiction" if you never did more than 90.
it didn't take me all that long to get a tolerance to need 100-120 to get where i want.
i've done 300mg a day a few times, and i'm fine as well.My LD50 is 350 mg @ the 4mg/kg ratio. I've taken 300ish/day quite a few times on top of consuming large amounts of baking soda continuously throughout the day. FWIW the vast majority of those that OD are relatively new users that haven't had a chance to develop the protective mechanisms that regular users of speed have.
If I remember correctly, the average person that suffered a fatal OD is a male in their 20's with a healthy heart.
The stimulant properties of amps are acheived via secreation of catecholamines(adrenaline, etc.) from the adrenal glands. Stimulant abuse wears on your adrenals and decreases their effeciency until they recover.I'm from Alabama and there's a pretty good amount of meth here and I have to agree with you burn out that overdosing on speed causes damage but doesn't really kill you unless it is an ungodly amount or you have high blood pressure and or heart issues. But yes there are few survivors of heroin overdoses and they are very fortunate that some higher power must see something in them or they're straight fucking lucky.
One thing I wanna understand is one time I did about 240 mg of vyvanse and I was sitting down at a friends house on the bed an when I stood up not only did everything turn black but I heard weird noises like dub step almost whah whah whah haha and I lost balance instantly and busted my ass but a few seconds later I could see and walk an I was fine so idk what was up can anyone explain

The adrenals are also involved in maintaining blood pressure, so when they're weak they can cause orthostatic hypotension(a rapid decrease of blood pressure occuring when going from a sitting to standing position.) The rapid decreased cerebal perfusion causes causes the syncopal episode describing. When it occurs it's best to lay them down and alevate their legs in
an attempt to accelerate blood flow to the brain.
Older people are more vulnerable, but when abusing drugs most are beyond the 'I'm 25 and invincible' attitude' and generally don't push the envelop to the extent of people like you and I.LSDMDMA&10803644 said:i've done 300mg a day a few times, and i'm fine as well.
i thought the only people who really die from speed are people who have heart conditions or something, they'll try ti for the first time/use it only a few times and just die of a stroke/heart attack..
Low blood pressure in general isn't the problem, it's the body's inability to rapidly adapt to changes in posture which causes the blood to pool in the lower body instead of perfusinig the brain. To test the theory out, when you think you're vulnerable palpate your pulse while sitting and then stand up. If you have orthostatic hypotension your pulse will increase sustantially as soon as you stand in an attempt to compensate for the decreased pressure in the form of an increased heart rate.So how could my blood pressure be low at anytime on a lot of uppers I don't understand the whole deceleration of blood flow to the brain when I stand up
