A 17-year-old Ohio high school student accused of being a drug "czar" with six lieutenants admitted guilt Tuesday to the charges against him in juvenile court.

The thin, bespectacled teen had the choice to admit to or deny drug trafficking charges against him in Warren County Juvenile Court in Lebanon. Those options are the juvenile court's version of pleading guilty or not guilty.

Judge Mike Powell warned the teen before he admitted guilt that he could potentially be in prison until he turns 21.

The teen, whom The Associated Press isn't identifying because of his age, responded: "I admit my guilt."
The Warren County Drug Task Force said the teen was a sort-of captain of a major drug ring based in the Cincinnati area and led by adults.

The teen had six teenage lieutenants, and the group sold as much as $20,000 worth of high-grade homegrown marijuana monthly to high schools students in two affluent Cincinnati-area schools, task force Cmdr. John Burke said.

Authorities seized more than 600 hydroponically grown marijuana plants with a street value of around $3 million.
They found $6,000 in cash in the teens' bedroom closet.

Teenagers just can't win these days.
He should be rewarded for his enterprising capabilities,he could probably win 'The Apprentice' TV show.
 
Eh nothing fancy here. I think if any one of us had access to that amount of cannabis we are all capable of selling a product that sells itself. If he was actually good at enterprising he would tap into a market that hasnt existed for 1000s of years.

Granted that's a lot of money I dont think it was that amazing. It's not like he was crunching tax figures and ways to avoid getting raped by federal income taxes
 
What? Didnt we figure hes not actually a 17 year old drug czar? He probably doesnt realize what hes admitting to and is admitting to it for the rep itll give him.
 
Well, I doubt a high school kid running something this advanced is doing all of the legwork himself. Maybe he was growing and sending it to dealers, I'm sure he had others helping him. That's not all going in his pocket. Nonetheless, even in high school I could have found a way to make that money disappear. If he was smart he'd have put that money toward a legit way to make a living.
 
Sometimes things just explode, the kid started making more money and his friends turned into lieutenants and he a czar. He probably admitted his guilt because he thinks it sounds cool being a drug czar.

The much more likely scenario is that they told him if he doesn't take a plea on reduced charges they would charge him as an adult with a handful of different felonies and fuck up his record for the rest of his life. If he gets charged as a juvenile that record is sealed which makes all the difference in the world to anyone who wants future.
