Is it safe to take Amitriptyline and/or Tramadol with Oxycodone?

I have a fairly high tolerance to Oxycodone (160-240mg) usually in one go, i hear that Trazodone is a good potentiator of Oxy, with Trazodone being a Tricyclic AD as is Amitriptyline i was wondering if it would be safe/good to potentiate?

I also hear Tramadol works as a potentiator... would it be safe to take the Tramadol aswell as the Amitriptyline to potentiate or would it be better to stick to one or the other? Or maybe neither at all?

If there are safe to use what doseages would i be looking at taking? Like i said i have a fairly high Opiate tolerance yet i dont really have any tolerance to Amitriptyline.. Although i do have a slight tolerance to Mirtazapine (usually 30mg does me good) Also would this be a safe potentiator?

I plan on using and antihistamine, Diphenhydramine or Promethazine or maybe even Doxylamine as i can buy it otc mixed with DXM under the brand name Nyquil cough.

Yes these are safe to combine with oxy ....don't expect anything amazing with the TCAs , but tram or dxm will definitely add some euphoria. Do not overdo it though take no more than 100mg of tram a day because it can cause seizures and you don't want that to happen.

My favorite is 90mg DXM with 50mg of diphenhydramine sixty minutes before you dose the oxy

i used to take 1.5g of tramadol before i new it could cause seizures don't know how i was spared

i usually take 90-120mgs 45-60mins before i take the opiate, but i do have experience with NMDA-antagonists that are much stronger than DXM at that site. usually, the dissociative effects start at around 200mgs. i like the effect when combined with opiates as it will definitely boost the euphoria and analgesia.

you should be fine with taking 30-60mgs more....


can i ask you which opiate you are taking and how much are you going to consume?

can i ask you which opiate you are taking and how much are you going to consume?

Oxycontin (OC) crushed into powder consumed orally - 200mg

ive took my Antihistamines, 50mg Diphenhydramine and 4mg Chlorphenamine about 30 minutes ago along with a pint or so of white grapefruit juice/tonic water mix.

Ive also took 14mg Lorazepam also.

I must stress that i have a massive tolerance to ALL Benzos and Oxycontin and also a fair bit of a tolerance to sedating antihistamines.

Im undecided on the Amitriptyline/Tramadol or just one or the other (Probably Amitiptyline) as i have little experience with this all i do kknow is that is is a sdating AD and i have a bit more experience with Tramadol, it's a bit hit n miss IME, sometimes it's nice, sometimes its not nice but i was thinking with it being an Opoid it might synergise nicely with the Oxycodone, although im unsure of what doses if any to take of either the Tramadol or the Amitriptyline.

I know Oxy lowers your seizure threshold and i do realise that Tramadol is quite notorious for causing seizures... i was hoping the 14mg Lorazepam may act as slight seizure prevention
