i never really took it because it gave me a very bloated look, but now that i lost some fat, i wouldn't mind the intracellular water, and i've also heard it'll give you a little boost on recovery.

so i bought a bottle off a friend for a dollar (he no longer uses the stuff, and i just teased him with a dollar bill haha) and i read the directions and was puzzled...

so i'm supposed to take it 3x daily (5 grams/dose) my first week, post and pre work out for 3 weeks, and only 1x daily thereafter.

does this stuff accumulate in my system or what? also, will it mask my veins or thicken them out or something???
 
4 X 5g daily for the first week, then 5g pre & post exercise with high glycemic index carbohydrates is what I've always done...

Endogenous serum or plasma creatine concentrations in healthy adults are normally in a range of 2–12 mg/L. A single 5 g (5000 mg) oral dose in healthy adults results in a peak plasma creatine level of approximately 120 mg/L at 1–2 hours post-ingestion. Creatine has a fairly short elimination half-life, averaging just less than 3 hours, so to maintain an elevated plasma level it would be necessary to take small oral doses every 3–6 hours throughout the day. After the "loading dose" period (1–2 weeks, 12-24 g a day), it is no longer necessary to maintain a consistently high serum level of creatine. As with most supplements, each person has their own genetic "preset" amount of creatine they can hold. The rest is eliminated out of the body as waste. Creatine is consumed by the body fairly quickly, and if one wishes to maintain the high concentration of creatine, Post-loading dose, 2-5 g daily is the standard amount to intake......
 
There is no benefit to loading. It's bullshit broscience. Take 5g a day everyday.
 
I found Creatine gave me sinus problems, left me extremely blocked up. I drunk plenty of water to. The problem wouldn't go away after 5 years and I ended having surgery to poke a hole through to breathe.

Long story short, I won't go near the stuff ever again.
 
i decided to just go with 2x daily, morning and night, but i guess i'll go down to once next week.

Creatine is the most dangerous steroid there is. You're crazy to go near it in the first place. One guy here had to get his entire nasal passage re-done because the toxic by-products in creatine were rotting away his septum. Don't go near the stuff ever again.

Pre-loading is what I'd always been led to believe but the literature I included above might suggest you are correct..

Due to its fairly short half-life of about 3 hours loading to create higher plasma concentrations, only works whilst loading..! Therefore when loading ceases levels would quickly decrease.....

I've found a few studies that suggest benefits of creatine use but don't mention its application methods:

Yeah, it mostly just broscience that was perpetuated due to the fact that it's on every label. Probably just so that you use up more and end up spending more. Just take 5g and don't worry about it.

Just a few weeks ago a kid around here went on a blood thristy rampage after taking too much. The whites of his eyes turned yellow and he started screaming and destroying anything in his path. The police found a bunch of open tubs of creatine in his apartment.

I would like to add that discussion of creatine is allowed because of it's use by steroid users, gym rats, and bodybuilders but sourcing of creatine will result in a ban. This a harm eduction site after all and hooking up someone with this monster anabolic substance is irresponsible. If they want to risk running creatine for some muscle then by all means let them get a hold of the shit themselves.

I thought something was off about your behavior Lopez but your creatine use makes everything clear now. If you think you are in to deep or can't cycle off the creatine, Voxide, myself, and everyone here are always there for you if you want to talk.

You might want to talk to Renz though. He is one of the few guys here that managed to use it longterm and cycle off cold turkey. He might be able to offer you some tips.
