Opioids that fuckin itch

pretty much whenever i do opiates (for me, only heroin, poppy tea, & occasional codeine CWE) i get so damn fucking itchy. some vomit, i scratch. sometimes so bad i bleed and get rashes.

this has been a good friend:

besides rubbing myself raw which is obviously not good, am i doing any long term skin damage? or is it good for skin, removing dead cells or something?

i get general itching all over, but only rub raw in the small of my back, just above the top of my bum crack. is there any specific reason for this localised intense itching?

i've tried diphenhydramine up to 100mg, is there anything to be gained from trying a higher dose (don't want to trip or get sedated, sedatives [seroquel, temazepam, etizolam] don't have toooo heavy effect on me unless high doses) or a different anti-histamine?

are there any other drugs i can try to reduce the itching or would moisturisers help? i do have quite dry skin but hate rubbing cream all over my body.

Try a second-generation (non-sedating) antihistamine. If your luck with the sedating (first-generation) ones wasn't that great...you may not get much from the second-generation ones.

If you haven't tried it already, try topical cortisone cream or even topical dipenhydramine cream. I've used topical diphenhydramine to great success - knocks down itching without any CNS side effects.

Another method that works really well is to take a nice long shower during the peak of the opiate experience.

thanks man that was great. been really hot in uk and i work in a kitchen but usually shower in the morning. even used conditioner then put skin lotion all over, skin feeling good not itching, but then again it's been time since i dosed so..

as soon as i got into bed i scratched all over with that thing... pleasant scratching not fierce n bloody. i'll try second gen anti hist and see whats what.

I dont get any histamine reactions from Opioids...OxyM or OxyC...

Zyrtec (Cetirizine) is good in my opinion as it helps with the itch without much potentiation at all.

It's down to the histamine release. I used to love the itching. Wish I could go back to then. After a certain amount of time your body does get used to it and the itching stops. I would not recommend taking more to stop this. Try some antihistamines. Be safe

Hey everyone, I have tried Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and it does not work for the itch. My itch has gotten very severe, to the point where I'm ready to stop opiates in general. It ruins my high and nodding isn't even an option because I'm constantly moving and itching and get OCD for some stupid reason. Promethazine isn't an option, it isn't an OTC anyways so it shouldn't be recommended in my opinion. Anyways, I'm really desperate for some help. My face breaks out the next day for rubbing and itching. Any other options?! It's really been ticking me off lately ;(
