Long time reader, first time poster

I recently performed a CWE on 10 Nurofen + and felt nothing besides a little light headed. I did the CWE quite hastily as patience is not one of my virtues so I tried again last night using a CWE explained by Mr. Blond below

http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/...rt-witty-title?highlight=codeine+doesn't+work

Hope that link works. I used 15 nurofen + and 2 hours later used another 15 and still no results..

Am I unable to correctly metabolise codeine or is my CWE method to blame?

Some people don't respond to codeine. You might be one of those people. Do you have any tolerance to any opiates? Is this your first time to try it? Before we can help we need more info.

I have zero tolerance to opiates seeing as this is my first (attempted) experience with them. 12.8mg of codeine in each tablet, so, 15 x 12.8= approx 150mg including some that would have been lost as it was a very basic CWE

A 10-nurofen extraction will yield between 100 and 120mg codeine, which is a rather small dose if you're a "heavy set" individual.

You may just be one of the unlucky ones that doesn't respond very much to codeine.

I could never get high of even high dosages of codeine by itself, and this would be during time periods where I hadn't done dope in weeks. It's possible also that you were just expecting too much out of opiates.

N+ is a shit brand, use panafen plus or chemists if you want to use ibu formulated pills. Even when I had zero tolerance to opiates (and was relatively small at the time) 120mg of codeine wasn't enough to do much to me. I would experiment with doses up to 300mg or so atleast before you write codeine off. Obviously don't jump straight to 300mg because that could be too much. If you are willing to give it a few more tries, slowly increasing dose till you hit the sweet spot, there is a good chance it will work for you. Some unlucky folks just can't get high off codeine, you could be one of them, however I think it is more likely you just didn't hit the right dose.

Alright I'll give them ago when I have a few days to spare, I'll start at 200mg and work my way up in 50mg increments - spank you. Also having never experienced opiates I don't know If i would know I was even high on codeine as I could only compare it a high on stims or psychedelics and also i hear codeine is a fairly weak member of the opiate family and it produces a very subtle high, anyways I am quite excited about entering the world of opiates even though its merely a foot in the door

N+ are created, oesigned rather to 'gel up' for want of a better word when faced with moisture to prevent abuse - no codeine, or not much at all, will come out.

Even if it did 120mg of codeine is a low dose, before I had a tolerance 200-300mg was my sweet spot.

first opiate i ever did was codeine, and i took a LOT, like i'm lucky i didn't die, but all I felt from it was a mild, warm, drunk feeling. Motor coordination was effected as well.

the second time i did it, i snorted like 15mgs and sublingualed another 15, and I was very euphoric. Later that night I also IV'd codeine, which I have since learned was a BAD idea.

Codeine is a weird opiate. I've met many people who get high as fuck from it, and others who don't feel any recreational effects from it, regardless of dose.

Never IV codeine!!!!! It can cause pulmonary edema. This where your lungs fill with your own body fluid.

I'm not about to IV, but is there a higher bioavailability with administering it different ways?

Some people don't respond to codeine. It is a pro drug. This means that you have to convert it to something else in your own body. It is converted by enzymes. Some people don't have the enzyme. Also there is a ceiling effect to codeine. It seems to very person to person but there is one.

If you take high doses and you feel no effect maybe your one of the few that can not convert it.

O.k and from reading some posts on here, about 15-20% is converted to morphine, does administering it orally, rectally, or sublingually affect the amount of codeine converted into morphine? Damn my... caucasiness?

I think it all goes down to what enzymes you have in your body.

(joke) if you have the enzyme in your arse it should work better :)

When I first began using opiates at 15 years of age, it was codeine that I used and man I used to get the most beautifully euphoric highs from it at the start (for the first two years at least). The first time I actually got an opiate high was on codeine (almost 300 mg I took) and man I will never ever forget that high. I was just smiling from ear to ear and felt so good that I instantly fell in love with it. To say it was simply euphoric is an understatement because I felt like I was in heaven. It was absolutely blissful.

Even as I started to use hydrocodone and oxycodone, codeine would still give me a mild to moderate opiate high. It wasn't until I began using morphine and hydromorphone and heroin that codeine just seized to work.

I feel that if you aren't getting the desired effect from it then doing more, isn't going to help that any. You probably just don't react to it as others have said. I would not go chasing a high through different and more dangerous ROAs. Just face facts and be safe, Codeine is not for you.
