Hello all,

If one would take a considerable high dose of Vyvanse (lisdexaphetamine), would the duration of the effects proportionally be increased?

Thanks!!

Alright, thanks for replying :)

If one abused it for a couple days, how long do you think it would be an appropriate time off any stims to go back to a therapeutical dose? Would 2 weeks be enough?

Is "one" you?

Yes, two weeks is a good amount of time to take off from amphetamines. If you've stayed awake for a couple days I recommend not taking any more amphetamines or other stimulants for a while. Eat a good meal, make sure you're hydrated and get some rest.

Yes, of course its me.

Day one I was doing snow (about a gram), and when I ran out, I started taking amps just to keep it going a lil bit more. I saw no harm since it should be the last time i would be doing stims recreationally for the next 10 monhts or so. I did a total of 480mg in a 24h perio

Everything was TOTALLY FINE till I decided to go to sleep. I woke up about 12 hours later, feeling totally fine. But then, I slowly began getting totally paranoid (hearing my own thoughts, conspiracy ideas, things like that). I had no choice but take Zyprexa to turn the situation around.

I took amps many times before but NEVER occurred me having hallucinations AFTER a long night sleep. As far as Im concerned, you go to sleep you wake up fine (maybe hangover, but still functional). I thought that after 12-14 hours it would wear off completely and thats it. I respect my ADHD medication, because I totally depend on it to be functional, and i never intended to abuse it. I did that before with Ritalin, when I had a few extra pills, and I turned out fine. I mean, thats the first time it happened to me.

Im just wondering how long should I wait until I can safely take my medicine again. I definitely learned my lesson.

Definitely.

A week is a good amount of time, but longer is better - and eating right will help your recovery faster. You're dealing with a serious amount of dopamine depletion and you won't feel too good for the first few days after you discontinue. The important thing is to get some sleep before amphetamine psychosis kicks in.

Thanks dude! Also, do you think L-tyrosine would be of any help? Thanks!

Tyrosine will help, how much it will help is hard to say. Eating a lot of cheese will get you lots of tyrosine as well. But, it can't hurt either.

tricomb is dead on point. Chelated magnesium is a very important supplement to take while on amphetamines and while recovering from amphetamine usage. Also important are vitamin C, all the B-vitamins, vitamin D3, well, all the vitamins. A decent multi-vitamin you'll find at any grocery store will help a lot. CoQ-10 and fish oils are also very helpful.

Well, I just took a Centrium Ultra Men's caps as a start. Tomorrow i'll seek for more specific supplements. Thanks so much for the advice.

My personal arsenal for amphetamine usage is as follows:
1 x 300mg Chelated Magnesium
2 x Omega 3 Fatty Acids
2 x vitamin D
2 x multivitamin w/ B vitamins
2 x calcium / tums.

Bear in mind the Tums will increase the half-life of amphetamine considerably if you consume the Tums prior to consuming amphetamines or if you consume Tums during the first part of being on amphetamine.
