TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

awwwwwww, Spork! That is too cute! (I can admit right here and now that I cried in Lion King every time I watched it with my kids and so did they!).

No, I wasn't doing a handstand in the picture. I was just lying on my back and looking up at the leaves and I started putting my feet in the air to relieve tension in my lower back. (I was probably providing much amusement for all the other tourists around the Capital that were sitting properly on the benches). I had been snapping pictures and I just kept at it. I love digital cameras! Coming from the film age, we were always worried about "wasting" film so there was not so much playful stuff going on.

Here is another picture I took that is a bit more serious. Look at everything going on in that picture. The body language of power. Three to one. Armed and unarmed. The over-fed and under-fed. Black and white. Official, uniformed and entitled by position and rank as opposed to the person that wears what others cast off and carries every possession with him. I only wish that I had gotten the Capital building in the background. That is what was happening; he was being asked to leave. Can't have the tourists visiting the Nation's Capital having to actually think or feel.....

pastelcircus, gorgeous!

Ashley, are those two compounds connected as one? Neat idea. :)

Herb, the analysis in that picture is pretty wild. The capital building in the background would really have made the statement.

^Wow, Michael, I just looked at them and they are gorgeous. Some of those wildflowers are amazing. Where else did you go in Peru?
