Codeine

180mg wouldn't touch the sides for me but I have a disgusting tolerance, in saying that I have dosed friends with no tolerance up to 200mg alongside an antihistamine and they enjoyed it if anything they wanted more, but you had a good time on 120mg so leave it alone for a week or two, dose 90mg, rinse and repeat :) The more you take the more you need...

Codeine is a great little opiate, a true narcotic like morphine/heroin and their immediate family (and I don't mean hydromorphone or oxymorphone). However, codeine loses its magic after sometime. I remember back when I was 15 (I'm now 28 ) and codeine was the very first opiate that I got high on. I took a dose of almost 300 mg and man it was absolute bliss. I was so high and felt absolutely incredible - I had never felt such a wonderful feeling ever in my life until that one fateful day. That memorable codeine high, which I will never ever forget got me hooked instantly. The next day I was looking for more. Codeine is great for first time users and people with very low tolerance. After I got into hydrocodone and oxycodone, codeine still worked but not as well as it used to. Once I began doing morphine, codeine absolutely seized to work. By 17 I was snorting heroin and at 19 I began using heroin through the IV route. Today I'm on 130 mg methadone a day.

It all started with that first glorious high with little old codeine. I got much respect for that drug, despite the fact it has no effect on me anymore.

Codeine is definitely the gateway drug of opioids. No joke itself either. I also started my courieer with codeine but I already have moved on to morphine (pods), but not too far away as the low-dose codeine still works for me. Always tried to keep my tolerance under control though, see how long it lasts :D

Codeine is a fucking lovely drug, and really is the main drug that sparked my current interest in opiates/opioids. Despite the fact I had used panadeine fortes (basically T3's with no caffeine,) OxyContin and heroin prior to my highish dose codeine CWE (8-15mg codeine with ibuprofen or paracetamol/APAP are otc here) experiences opiates were not high on my pecking order of drugs until I started CWE. For some reason I didn't really get the euphoria until I was using 300mg+ of codeine but since then I have picked up the taste for all opies. I can honestly say the best nods of my life were on codeine and when my tolerance initially started to spike tramadol+codeine. Have had many blissful nods on oxycodone, heroin and morphine since but none of them rival that honeymoon period with codeine. When it was actually possible to nod off it I can say without a doubt it was my #1 drug and still would be if I could nod again. Unfortunately several month breaks off all opiates don't reduce my tolerance to the point I can nod off even a ceiling dose plus numerous potentiators.

Your post has really encouraged me to give codeine a go again soon. Haven't had opiates in a while but you've inspired me. haha

Strangely i feel that codeine is working better and better more i use it (infrequently). Without increasing the dose. And definitely is the only opiate ever that had me nodding.
