What's up guys, so if any of you remember that thread I made about how I took 120mg & woke up not being able to breathe at all with terrible chest pains & then when I got some air in me I got the worst migraine of life. I have been prescribed 90 30mg roxycodone a month since i was 18 for degenerative bone disease. This has NEVER happened to me before; to say I'm an experienced user is to put it lightly, to say the absolute LEAST. I have never obtained any opiates illegally though, once my script is gone; it's gone. I have that mindset, & I have had since the first day i got my script. I go through withdrawal once a month, but it is what it is. Anyways, yesterday I took about 80mg spread throughout the day which BY NO MEENS is even CLOSE to an overdose for me at ALL. Last night I went to bed around 8, woke up at 11 not as bad as the other night, but defiantly the same type of thing. Not nearly as bad as the other night at all, but after I was up for 15 minutes & got some air in me I got the pounding migraine again. My chest just felt like it was not getting good breathing at all as soon as I went to bed. Why the hell is this happening to me out of no where? Keep in mind this only happens right when I go to sleep; not while I am up. Im really nervous & annoyed, there is no reason why that should have happened yesterday at all, even though it wasn't nearly as serious as the other night, it's still scary that chest-feeling, and I knew I was deprived of oxygen when after 15 minutes I got the pounding migraine. Any input is appreciated. Thank you & stay safe!

damn that is terrible; are you eating anything out of the ordinary? any other medications that could potentiate your normal dose? Do the effects feel much stronger than usual? It sounds like it is more to do with your body than the dose you are taking, with your tolerance i'd think you'd be able to handle the dose fine. I'd definitely get that checked out but you probably know all this already. Sorry i am not of much help, hope you get some relief.

Absolutely NOTHING different dude. This has happened now since that night I woke up really, really bad. Then when I didn't do the oxys that whole day & let myself go into minor-withdrawal, I literally woke up in a pool of sweat I never have before. Im not talking about withdrawal-sweats, I'm talking a whole bucket of water all over my body, covers, & sheets & pillow type sweat, but my chest felt 10000x better after that. I wonder if I stop them for a bit my chest will go back to normal? This is so fucking whack...so it's possible I could of done serious damage from that semi-overdose at 120mg that night? The thing that mindfucks me, is why did I not throw up that night? Im so confused. Wouldn't my body of rejected it?

Keep in mind though my chest felt pretty much all better after I woke up not doing them that 1 day. There is no way oxycodone is doing this to me though, this drug has agreed with me SO well my WHOLE life. This chest shit is soooo annoying, fuck.

I'm with Robot on this one...it just doesn't seem to add up as far as an overdose scenario, based on the info you've posted.
I don't think you mentioned how much you usually take at a time? Can you expand on your dosing schedule a little?
If you can give a little more detail in that area it may be helpful.
Also, you said you go through withdrawals once a month...How bad are they, and how long do the symptoms last? How long does your prescription usually last?
Sorry To overload you with questions lol.

I dose high. When I first get my script I dose around 90mg, then by the end of the script I'm at 150-180mg with not even getting a buzz really. This literally happened out of NO WHERE. SO confusing. My withdrawals last like 4 days then its just some Restless Legs, it all depends honestly. I have a great grip on my usage though, that is for sure. Like I have said, it is most defiantly an addiction, but by no means has it ever became a problem. This is just a total mindfuck though, I have never gotten chest pain like this. Keep in mind that first night this happened, my chest felt fine before I went to bed. I was so scared when I woke up last night & it was like that but not nearly as bad as the other night, i know that feeling now though. My chest is kinda tight right now, I dosed 37.5 mg when I woke up...this is fucking whack.

this may sound weird, but it seems like you're dosing schedule is rather erratic... also pretty high. Could this be some sort of weird withdrawal? maybe if certain factors are all in place at the same time, this is a culmination of some kind? I realize this probably isn't the case, but I am at just as much a loss as you are.
If its happening when you are nearing the end of your rx, maybe it's anxiety related?
Sorry I can't be of more help. I'm sure others will have more help than I.
Maybe try keeping a journal. That way when this happens again you may be able to look back and figure out what factors may have played a part

Thing is I just got my script the other day lol, I have 77 of my 30's right now...I took that 120mg the second I got my script filled in minor withdrawal after like 3-4 days of being clean because I stretched my script last month to last a lot longer than usual...so fucking weird!!! I am baffled...to be honest, 120mg shouldn't even of done that to me...I meen maybe it did, but could that have caused perma-damage?

I feel you on the culmination thing, there is no correlation anywhere about anything here, this is truly random as fuck. I asked my mom if "they changed any ingredients" in the oxys, she was like how would I know. lol. If it was like Opana or something id understand, but this is the same exact medicine I have been taking my WHOLE life, never once in my life had this kind of serious scenario happen.

you're like me, you can't tolerate opioids while you sleep. Only take themduring day and leave 4 hours space in between your last dose and sleep. Avoid sustained release formulations.

Yesterday I left 6 hours of Space before sleep!!! not to mention I dosed the 80mg through like 6 hours which is ridiculous. I have slept SOOO bomb on high doses of opiates my whole life...actually why am I saying 'opiates'? That sounds like I use a variety of different opiate based drugs; The only drug I do is my prescribed 90 roxycodone a215's every month until they are gone...then the next month eventually comes again. I'm so pist off right now why is this happening. One of my favorite things is cuddling up on a high dose of roxys & getting a nice sleep & waking up feeling fresh..as we speak my chest is doing weird shit...

Edit: Also, when I put my hand on my chest when I woke up cause I was so baffled about how bad my chest hurt & my light-headedness, I literally couldn't even feel a heart beat what so ever.

lol, i know what you meen. I'm not gonna do that though. I'm going to just taper myself down now & stop. fuck it. hopefully this was just from that 1 high dose & my shit will go back to normal eventually. i won't be taking any dose higher than 45 mg for a while though.

THis has been really really bad so i should probably throw this out there One thing that has been different this month is like 24 days ago I got like 3rd degree burns from sunburn after my dumb ass fell asleep in west coast sun for 3 hours, I meen really bad. My neck is fucked still, so fucking bad. I have had sooo much aloe & sooo much shit constantly on it, I'm talking gruesome shit here, it's like wounds, its finally getting better but its still all scabbed and shit. could this have anything to do with it? I've sprayed about 10 cans of spray-aloe on lmao

At this point, my opinion is...See your Doctor. I realize this is sort of a 180 compared to my first post, BUT-This is a harm reduction forum, and I doubt seriously you'll find any other answers here other than guess work. No matter how educated or genuine the responses may be, they are guesses all the same. Just to be clear, I'm obviously speaking of my own posts lol.
I am not discounting the possibility it could be related to your oxycodone use, but then again, we have nothing to prove that the drug is the culprit.
To air on the side of safety, I hope you'll consider going to your MD. The good thing here is your MD is aware of your pain medicine, so there's no secret in that area. Best to rule out anything serious...
What do you think, JustTrynaNod??

I know for a fact this was opiate-caused it happened the night I took 120mg and woke up like half-dead. Im pretty much stumped here though as to why it happened yesterday & why I still have chest pain, unless I caused some serious damage or something...but the fact that I woke up that next day when I didn't do them all day in the pool of sweat but my chest felt 1000x better makes me not as nervous...I really don't know. Im going to taper myself down for a couple days just take 30mg & go through minor-withdrawal, then the next time I get my script after a couple weeks clean I will take 60mg & see what happens as long as my chest feels 100% better.

OK :)
You know your body. Hopefully it will never happen again...sounds MISERABLE, not to mention scary :(

Very miserable being that I can't take my medicine, & very scary & confusing being I have taken my medicine my whole life & this shit happens out of no where. Any other input is appreciated. I appreciate you caring macd610, stay safe brotha.

I wish I could change my stupid name on here...not that it really matters, but I'm a female lol!

are you snorting your pills by any chance? not sure if you mentioned it between the 2 threads but i didnt see it.
my opinion is that you are havin a weird reaction in your sleep, maybe something like sleep apnea? it might not be opiate related at all.

Orally man, I don't bite them or anything, i take them whole, never snort my pills. & the thing is, the second night after the first really serious scenario with the 120mg, I didn't take any that day but my chest was so sore all day because I literally know I almost died that night, then when I woke up my chest didn't hurt anymore, & I hadn't taken any opiates that day. Then yesterday I take 80mg & that happened but not as severe. The day before that I took like 60mg and it didn't happen, & the day before that was the serious scenario (Thursday night) It's serious-shallow breathing when I go to sleep, that's whats happening, but it's never happened before. That shit can kill too...
