if HGH doesn't trigger neurogenesis, what does?

so HGH causes cell division in every part of the body EXCEPT the brain, right?

so what dictates neurogenesis?

Neurogenesis is just a fancy word for nerve cells in the brain being restored. When your cells are still young and strong they are constantly being repaired and re-generated from factors that you really don't have control over. Exercise and a good diet can definitely promote a healthy environment for this to take place. I know that b12 and fish oils are neuro-protective. Look into nootropics. Some people say that Cannabis will generate neurons but I'm not sure if this is true or just more liberal biased horseshit. I'll have to look into it.

It's not really about what facilitates neurogenesis but what impedes it. Sleep deprivation, drugs-especially amphetamines, general old age, malnourishment, etc.

i heard the cannabis thing as well, thing is that just like many other drugs it may cause growth in one area (namely the hypothalamus) but more than likely causes damage to another...

i heard DHEA is supposed to be a good memory booster if taken over a period of time, but i wouldn't take it as it is suppressive to other hormones. it also gives me HELLISH anxiety, and explosively violent (almost beat the crap out of my friend once) :sus:

i'd also just like to say that just because i make a post like this, doesn't mean i'm going to take a substance, i'm just VERY interested in the human body and general science of the mind. never wanted to take ghb either.

however this time i am looking for something to boost my already relatively good memory and ability to recall events... DHEA did work some serious wonders in that aspect, i wonder why i was so nervous on it though. any ideas? 8)

lol at the thought of BRAIN steroids.

If you can find any type of study on cerebrogenics or nootropics and their effects on cognition, it would be a good start.

Trash the DHEA.
