I am trying to solve it once and for all PTCH... Then no more animals will be bored during the making of this conversation ;) (Plus any way, there's so much shit on BL I cba to read that bores me to death. I am not so arrogant as to think BL and it's posters are here solely for my entertainment, so I just gloss over it)

I think, if a debate emerges from a non-debate topic, it should get it's own thread.

Those who don't want to debate, or read the debate, don't need to visit the thread.

Modding should be applied equally and fairly.

(though part of me enjoys all these arguments...)
 
That's kinda what my suggestion was. Titling it 'MSB' is clearly exclusive, but making it universally relevant to all forms of off-topic debate would work, I think.

We seem to change what we're debating within that thread several times any way though, so it might as well all be in one beef megathread. We'll still get moaned at by people who for some reason click on things and can't help but read it all to annoy/bore themselves lol.

OK, I think know* my idea is better, but it can't hurt to try something and see where it gets us, rather than doing nothing and having people sick of the arguments.

Thank you Albi. I will try and be vaguely civil to the clique, if they could try and do the same back I would appreciate it. If they don't then I think I will just keep highlighting the BLUA until it is adhered to.
 
@MSB I'm being as objective as I possibly can and agree that you are provoked at times, but the reason you are provoked, and the reason that you are the centre of so much drama on here is that you have very black and white views and love to turn almost any conversation towards them. It's grating in real life, it's grating on the internet. This is why people dislike you and seek to upset you.

Using your objectivity, can you not see that the otherside of the coin (Sam etc.) are all very black and white, they are just white whereas I am black... hence the animosity directed at me? I've already said more than a few times that I am not like this at all in real life, I just find it nearly impossible to clearly communicate the intricacies of the grey viewpoints that I hold so it is easier just to make them black. Plus pushing people's buttons is irresistable sometimes. When it is quite clear that they feel mortally wounded when someone questions their view of the world I find it impossible not to.

Do you honestly not see that you are the least inappropriate person to teach anyone lessons on self perception? I could explain to you the purpose of my chosen modus operandi, and how it operates as an extremely effective filter of the intolerant and/or stupid, but I would be wasting my time. There are users on here who get it, and to them I am a totally different person to the person you see. I am consistently asked "why don't you leave", well... there are at least 5-10 people on here who get it, and I value them. In real life I could just seperate the wheat from the chaff and never speak to the chaff again, but I am stuck in perpetual engagement with the chaff on here. It's much the same reason some people get covered in tattoos and do all sorts of body mods. Or why some gay people decide to be super camp. It just means you don't have to interact with those you don't want to.

It's also an extremely effective method of alienating people.

Though if you insist, carry on. We're obviously too stupid to see the true purpose of appearing to be a pompous, unpleasant, charmless nincompoop.

Alienating myself you mean? I think the few people who I have spoken to on tinychat can verify that I am nothing like this MSB persona really. I do let some of it slip in occasionally as a sort of retard repellant though.
