You fucking know, I post it enough
I decided to try and find a date, or some new friends using online dating. I created my profile and then did some searches and saw a few people that I wouldn't mind getting to know a bit better, I sent 2 people messages and one person replied, I don't really know what to reply back, lol. She didn't ask a question that I could answer in the next message back . She's a bit younger than me but seem like a nice girl, in her reply she said that she liked my profile which is good, I guess if she didn't like it then she probably wouldn't have responded though.

Advice Please! I'll probably write a short message asking some questions about what she wrote in the last reply.

Has anyone else used online dating and had any success with it?

How long do you normally need to have the email exchanges before it is a good idea to try and arrange a meetup? (I was thinking about a week or two)

Haha, nah, she isn't, she's just a local girl that was on the same dating website, she seems like a fun person to be around, I need some new friends in Cambridge, so even if it didn't end up with us going out she could end up being a friend.

I think I'll just go with my whatever comes out of my head, as that is the real me and if I don't get another response then it most likely was not meant to be.

Ask her a really wacky and bizarre question Mugz, something totally out there. Being you it shouldn't be a problem to think of something crazy. ;)

It'll be much more interesting than the standard 'interview questions' that you're probably going to ask, i.e. what do you like to do, what's your job etc. Zzzzzz!

I already know what her job is and she seems rather wacky too so that is a good bit of advice for once spadey :)

Wacky Mugz is ready to get struck down 8)

edit - Her being 5 years younger than me isn't really a big deal IMO, I think age is pretty much irrelevant unless it is illegal!

I don't think anyone said anything about her age Mugz, looks like you're trying to convince yourself on that one. :D

Dating sites are tough, because the guy to girl ratio is just so huge. Also, be aware that because most women on there have their inbox's crammed full, they expect that you come up with a more catching first message, not just ''hi, how are you?'', etc. which in turn makes it even more difficult.

I gave up in the end, and stopped actively using a site. Although, I still use the app, and am addicted to clicking on the short profile pop ups from time to time, just to have a slutty nose..

What about 16 year olds ? They're legal, the morality of it is another matter. (Not questioning your morality just the subject in general)

Anyway ive tried a couple of online sites and chatrooms before that. I spent months talking to 2 sisters for hours on end on instant messaging and getting on great with them, then after several hundred hours we finally met, and we just didnt click so it had been a waste of time. With the next person i got to know online, i didnt want to repeat that experience of wasting time, and pushed for a meeting to soon and scared her off. Its just finding the right balance.

Overall i havent had much luck with it, those girls that i was interested in generally werent interested in me, and those that were interested in me, the feeling was not mutual....

You may of course have better luck than me, dont wanna put you off, no harm in giving it a go.

My first message was more catching, I picked things from her profile that I liked and talked about those and said a few extra things about me too, is probably why she replied because it wasnt a standard "Hi, how are you doing" message.

Bit stuck on what to say for the second message. I'll say something a bit wacky and continue the conversation from the previous email.

I wouldn't date a 16 year old, my search is set up to only search for people 21 and older, a 26 year old and a 21 year old is fine.

Ask her what her pussy tastes like.
No point beating around the bush.

You've got some great potential questions to get the conversation rolling:

> If you could time travel to the past 2000 years ago, what ONE thing would you take?
> 3 most shameful things that you have ever done, in order!!!
> God, the son of God - Everyone is God?
> What personality type are you?

and maybe

>Could using a different power adapter be dangerous?

Seriously though, good luck with it, you're a really nice bloke and I hope you meet a good lass.

edit:
ahahahaha, I think I will wait a while before mentioning recreational drugs, lol.

Yep, good plan. Also, even if she brings the subject up best not to reel off a list of the things you've tried, she might be the type who thinks a quick toke is pushing the boundaries a bit.

Lol, I should have known that this would end up full of funny remarks, surprisingly it was spades post that made the most sense.

Also. noone answered the other two questions that were in the first post of the thread.

This could be my wacky question :D

Also, thanks jancrow, I hope I find someone too, even if it ends up just being another local friend. :)

1. No, I haven't.

2. I don't think it's a good way to force a relationship. There's not set times/limits/rules. Find out where she lives, and turn up full of mephedrone and viagra.

That's a really risky question to ask a woman. Chances are she'll say 'my vibrator' and you'll be made instantly redundant

I'd choose another one if I were you
