Flashbacks of a Fool

Quite mainstream for my taste but that's fine when it's such a beautiful and moving film.

I think that's all I've got to say about it! I liked it. Reminded me of my own childhood.

Oh, I will just say, I loved his American house.

I've downloaded Flashbacks and will watch it this afternoon hopefully. S'got Daniel Craig who's a bit meh to me, but I'll give it a shot anyway

I did! .. well I got 1/4 way through and realised I'd already seen it last yr sometime.

I kept thinking that it was like something I'd seen already and it was. It was alright, nothing special ... and I like this kinda flick normally too. I'd give it a watchable 5/10

I kept thinking I must come back to the thread and recommend what I'd consider to be a much better version of it ...

Submarine 2010.. directed by Richard Ayoade. (the guy from the TV show The IT Crowd)

It's far superiour imo, and more to my taste .. young love and tragedy so similar theme, but it pays tons of respect to, and reference lots of old French films, as well having more endearing characters. Far more original imo. It's got a decent soundtrack too. I've recommended it before in the movie thread
