Benzo Discussion Vol. 3 (I think? Last night's a blur..)

Replaced my once/twice a week roche (or whatever they are) useage with etiz for awhile, quite like etiz, nice to wake up without feeling groggy etc. manage to acquire some MSJs, might give them a bash this weekend, see how they compare to the roche
 
what are the MSJs guys just a brand of diazepam ya?.. I usually only get the Roche from the chemist or else the plain generic from the chemist - she lets me choose =D

to Mugz - thats great bud that you are off them!! its so friggin hard i dont even bother anymore I just get my six month script at a time and leave it with the chemist, pick em up once a week then so I dont take em all at once.. I tried going cold turkey from 15mg p/d a few months back, I felt OKssh for about four days then all hell broke loose had to get my hands on them

I will try to taper properly next time!!
 
Just took ten (10) milligrammes of Lorazepam. 'bout 15 mins ago now. Never taken this high a dose of any benzodiazepine. (Just as i finished typing that word, "benzo8%$1..... I i felt it kick in hard now, very slow carfull editing & typing... Taken 4/5 minds now to write this so when finished typing it'll be x amount of time + 15 mins)

I'm fond of this benzo & am intending to sleep on my sofa after a day of cycling along the beach, collecting opium stems, without pods - they'd been removed days before by me for Tea leaving a black opium latex that is of lesser potency than that of opoium scrapred from lanced pods - Smoking the Opium once dried & rolled in marijuana & American Spirit tobacco. This was sufficient for 3/4 good pipe bowl lungfulls. Made for a very pleasant dusk smoke.

Is 10mg of loraz a standard dose for you? That's a pretty high dose. Saying that, loraz feels like it hardly works on me. Awful benzo.
 
10mgs of lorazepam is the same as about 100mgs of diazepam, he'll be passed out by now!

Bit late, but very well done mugz! I'm on a benzo taper, i'm down to 16mgs prescribed and I'll be off them in november! Anyway this is not about me! Well done mugz, well chuffed for you, you have done a very hard thin and keep up the good work of remaining abstinent mate! You can do it, I know how come off benzo fucks up your sleep pattern, hence me posting this time of night even though I have work tomorrow! Well done again, you have achieved one of the hardest withdrawals!
 
Have you tried Valerian root for sleep Acidtek, I'm not normally one for herbal remedy type stuff having been through the alternative medicine mill years ago for another ailment.

Its in most on the shelf sleep aids so own brand stuff is really cheap, its not that strong but definitely takes the edge off a bit, both anxiety and insomnia, it won't knock you out but it does help you relax and doesn't leave you all groggy like a sedating antihistamine.

@Mugz, great news mate, I've totally cleared any out of the house now, I had kept a few just in case I had some delayed panic attack but I've had nothing of the sort. Tapering is definitely the only viable way to go mentally and physically IMO.

I've been 3 days without any benzo's now.. I have been eating them for withdrawal's lately and have been very sharp to not make a habit out of ben's.
Today everyone is gonna be drinking (not including me :p), so gonna pop some good old diaz and maby xanax if my drunkenn friends start to get on my nerve's.
There should be a cool art exhibition tonight about graffiti, planning to go there :)
Maby a little lyrica too 8)
 
I'm thinking the msj's are not bad because I've seen a couple of mates the other night KO playing fifa after 4 each. 2 of them gives a nice chilled head but I think about 4 is more like 25-30mg of diaz.

Would do matt and special k think of them lately? I am fairly sure when I had quite a few a while ago they were stronger, but maybe I just ate more lol
 
I couldnt believe my luck when I got lyrica prescribed MoeD. It gives such a lovely gentle euphoria and can be really trippy.

Unfortunately, tolerance builds up quickly if you cane them regularly and the euphoria disappears..

They must have got weaker, the ones I had a good while back must have been stronger than that, even with a good dose of tolerance 4 would have floored me, they were inconsistent but not that much.
 
+1 on the Lyrica! Lovely med, works wonders for social anxiety and is great for a little sesh on now and again, as yellow said tolerance builds mega fast! A really good alternative to benzos for anxiety and docs are much more likely to prescribe them as well, I'm going up to 200mgs twice a day on tues so I'll have 56, I'm sure they will get munched before the month ends! ;)
 
Same as atm mate, when I was getting the a while back one felt like about 25-30mgs easy!

Just thought I'd point out, I call bullshit on someone a few posts back, chemists don't stock Roche Valium any more, may be wrong, but prove it!

Going to see if the doctor will put me on Lyrica on monday, the gabapentin is not touching the pain and it makes me feel like shit.
 
Lyrica is far superior mate, your dr should do that for you, let us know how you get on mate! It's a wonder drug
 
It gives a really confident and slightly euphoric buzz mate, you'll probably be started on 50mgs three times a day, if I remember correctly you suffer from anxiety like me, so for you and I it is a life changing drug, since I've been on it I've got off gear started a benzo taper prescribed, got a really good job that I'm happy in and I'm about to get my own place! Before I didn't leave the house for six months! I hope it works for you as it does for me mate!
 
10mg is the highest dose of that drug or equivilent to any other benzo I've ever taken.

I'm used to low to medium sized benzo doses, i.e 5-15mg of diazepam, no more than 20mg at once, no more than 40mg in 24 hours.

It's just that i happened to acquire some 2.5 mg lorazpepam tabs! - so i thought i'd experiment.

So 10 of lorazepam didn't "feel" like as much as it was. Comparable to 40mg of temazepam actually. No sedation like "i MUST sleep" just a totally anxiety free time. Very pronounced muscle relaxation, didn't feel very messy from the dose like falling over or anything like that. Got very comfy in bed & fell asleep for way too long. That's it.

No thing to write home about except an epiphany that now benzos like diazepam, lorazpam, bromazepam, are only for therapeutic purposes mostly like extremely overbearing days of excess anxiety & in bad cases like feeling so restless you feel "uncomfy in your own skin". Agitation. Extremely stressfull events. Terriible alcohol hangovers, (i mostly avoid alcohol now tho, unless on long social periods) .Comedowns in the occasion of using stimulants.

Fundamentally Do not take anxiolytics "for the sake of it" so as to insure this medicine will be in the house should you need them. There's no need for large quantities of benzos: like more than between 14 & 56 ( half a box or two )

That said Hypnotic benzodiazepines like Temazepam & Nitrazepam can, to a person non - naieve to benzos in general, are the best benzos for recreational effects; Diazepam has this quality in high enough doses, lorazepam is said to & does but personally did not)

I've yet to try Nitrazepams full family though: flunitrazepam ( Rohypnol! ) i can get it ( not sourcing ) from a friend in belgium, but i've yet to ask him for some. 'bout time i say ; ) ! Ditto lorprazolam, lorprazolam, lormetazepam & finanlly midazolam. The 3 L's are available on nhs script but i've had everything but those. Can't get them anywhere else. Midazolam & Triazolam are hypnotic benzos i've yet to try & cannot get.

In summary my favourite benzo is still diazepam & oxazepam. Nice strong effects from nitrazepam too.

Good post mate, good advice to lurkers that may not know as much as most of us about drugs! Well done buddy! :)

Rohypinal is class I used to take it when was fifteen if my gran had ordered her script early and had a few left over, purple diamond shape they were! Talk about knockout!

Euphoria? If you call walking into walls and being dizzy euphoria, then fair enough. When I've exceeded 450mg, it's become panicky and weird. I've been prescribed it for a few years, and while it boosts benzos, kills hangovers, and helps with anxiety, it doesn't touch benzos alone. It also has a lovely list of side effects, like turning you into a fat cunt. Pregabalin is pretty much non-recreational alone.
