Meek Mill, Wale, Big Krit, Lupe Fiasco, Los, Jag, Fabolous, One Be Lo, Royce Da 5'9, Gucci Mane

Westwood is a complete faggot in my opinion, I can't stand him. He claims he reps real hip hop but 90% of the people he gets on his show are not real hip hop.

Actually Doug E Fresh,The Show was another one that stood out,fuck me,there may be more. Where did all dem b-boys n flygirls go,spinning on their heads n'all dat. Dem niggaz was just having fun back den.Shizzle ma nizzle.
 
Before he was on Radio 1 Westwood was on Capital Fm he may be a wanker but he did get some fukin dope artists like Ultramagnetic Mcs on his show.

I don't think he gets the credit he deserves for introducing proper Hip Hop to the mainstream back in the late 80s tbh perhaps if he didn't act like a complete dick he would.
The only other DJ that would play hardcore Hip Hop like G rAp , Kane etc on mainstream stations was John Peel believe it or not.

Not to be a dick but how is Royce 5'9 new at all? You must never of been an Eminem fan as they recorded Bad Meets Evil together for The Slim Shady LP like 13 years ago dude.

Haven't been listening to much rap lately, but when I do I am often listening to Jedi Mind Tricks or Canibus.
 
He's definitely got a toolish persona ('aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, fo shiz my DAWWWWG, lay it down for me one time etc') but like Brimz said he did a lot to get good HH played in the UK when it was unsupported elsewhere and yes, he deserves credit for that despite his clownishness. Frreal.

I do feel as though he unfairly neglected UKHH in favour of the US though, at least when people like Jehst were coming up. Maybe this has changed now.

I dont know "new" rappers is a matter of opinion really. I know hes been around for a while but hes still made music recently. Then again Edo G had an album come out in 2008 and hes been rappin since the early 90s.

Theres really no easy way to divide new and old

Yeah there is.. are they established? Do they have more than one or two albums under their belt? Then they aren't new!
