aMT- Friends friend overdosed WARNING!

My friends friend, did 300mg of aMT a couple of nights ago, and he overdosed and died. Im not joking, he had been drinking alcohol all day, and had also done alot of base.

Do not go that high 300mg is a lethal dose.
 
Damn, 300 is way out of the erowid dosage range; 80mg is the limit for "heavy."

Also, this^ almost definitely is what sealed the deal. Dangerous combination already.
 
Well 80mg is a bit to low if you ask me. Everyone I know whos done aMT has done 100-200mg range. Ive gone up to 200mg, I wouldnt say it felt bad, just a bit intense.

100% no one should EVER go over 200mg, tbh 200mg is pretty high anyway.
 
sorry for your loss, and may he RIP.

however, its hard to say he od-ed on aMT or the other stuff he was taking, so a clear cause of death this isnt. just speculation.

what aMT are you guys into? 200mg? as a normal dose?? thats waaaaaay waaaaaay off, at least in my experience (30 is good enough for me, i cant imagine ever going above 100), though i have heard others needing that much for effects (cant remember the name at the moment)

again, i hope people will be more careful in the future.
 
its freebase powder aMT. 30mg wouldnt do much for me, I would just feel slugish and feel sick. 300mg is just a silly dose anyway.

100mg to 150mg is my ideal dose.
 
I also know a friend of a friend who supposedly ingested 300-400 the other day and died, known as a complete mess head? it may be the same guy, in which case RIP.
 
Sorry to derail this thread but you guys who need more than 100mg to get off with amt...

do you take alot of serotinin releasers in general? cause i could understand if you have fucked your serotonin depots by overdoing mdma or similar why you would need this much.

I rarely do mdma and have only done amt once, but 50mg was very strong with lsd looking visuals and felt like about 200+mg mdma but for over 12hours.
 
300mg aMT with amphetamine and alcohol is extremely dangerous. Mixing any stimulant with aMT is asking for trouble.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Please be safe. aMT should not be mixed with stimulants and aMT shouldn't be taken at doses anywhere near 300mg.
 
Really very sorry to hear this.

I think most posts are bang on here. 300mg is way too much, coupled with alcohol and anything else.

The most I've had of aMT is 60mg and that kicked my ass all over the shop. I'm certainly not deriding the substance. Just everyone go easy. aMT is very powerful stuff.
 
Sorry for your loss Pars101, yet another life taken before their time.
I hope people can learn from this and educate themselves if they are going to take drugs.
Knowledge of what drugs you take can save your life.

Yes, amps and MAOIs are contraindicated, and depending on what kind of alcoholic beverages he was taking (beer and wine being notably contraindicated for their tyramine content), that combo was just asking for a hypertensive crisis. Just because inhibition of MAO is negligible at normal doses, doesn't mean you can assume it will be at ANY dosage level.

And even if that wasn't the problem, you have the monoamine release/reuptake-inhibiting effects which still make the doses and combinations here involved very dangerous.
