Just made a cocktail that i need advice on safty

earlier today i took 60mg of Ms-contin (morphine sulfate) for legitimate pain as prescribed.

My cocktail.

2mg xanax-3 hours

120mg codeine- now
30mg temazepam-now

Is this safe to consume?
 
Sounds like a recipe for a sleepy cocktail.

If you have tolerance to opiates and benzodiazapines, then you should be able to take that quite safely. If you dont have any tolerance to these medications i would drop the temazepam. That would most likely just make you pass out and any recreational value will be lost. Unless you simply want to fall asleep as fast as possible. '
 
Bit late now, hope the OP is OK, personally I would have dropped the Codeine, it's very difficult to OD on Benzos alone but mixing Opiates with them is never a great idea. The amount were fairly small though so I'm guessing the are sleeping like a baby.

I also would of said that but i felt he may have been looking for a more pleasant relaxing body high rather than just passing out. In my opinion i would refrain from the mixing of benzos and opiates. sometimes for me a dose of xanax is nice alongside hydrocodone to enhance the complete relaxation and warmth. i notice with others, take ooxycodone for example, it doesnt add much to the experience, infact i feel it adds more sedation and dampens the euphoria i get with it.

this cocktail contrived by the op looks like he is in some pain "I took 60mg of morphine sulfatee due to legitimate pain" and wanted to be pain free as he drifted off into a nod land then sleep.

sonds good for someone in a lot of pain if you ask me. i hope your sleepin good OP. I myself have not slept yet and its 6:35 in the morning
 
Scramdor, that entirely depends on your tolerance. As others have said mixing opioids and benzodiazepines (or other CNS depressants - alcohol, z-drugs etc) can be dangerous as they are synergistic and can lead to fatal respiratory depression, so do be careful. If you do mix, make sure you reduce the doses from what you would usually take and don't add in abother CNS depressant. 120mg codeine isn't a lot but for someone with a low tolerance, mixing it with morphine, Xanax and temazepam might be too much..

Hopefully it's okay though and you're fast asleep :)
 
If he's prescribed 60mg of morphine daily I sincerely doubt 120mgs of codeine would do much with a tolerance.

Though it's wise never to mix CNS depressants anyway.
 
I'm currently prescribed 60mgs of MS-Contin but I doubt I have much Opiate tolerance as I've only been on them for a few weeks, I suspect you are right with the amount the OP is taking but better safe than not IMO
