Failed roll after benzo abuse previous day

So basically I dropped 120mg of crushed crystals of very high quality ("best mdma ive ever had in my life" was a quote from an experienced friend who tried my stuff), I had approximately 10mg of etizolam the night before and 2mg about 6-7 hours before and I felt barely anything, had the light and speedy feeling, but no euphoria, no talkativeness , slight desire to dance but that was it.

Is it safe to presume that the benzos ruined the roll or could there be another cause?

I've had people tell me that methylone, piperazines or even methamphetamine gave them the best rolls of their life before. Of course they thought it was MDMA, but I knew what they really had.



BUT, yes. Benzos can certainly block a roll, I wouldn't expect use the day before to completely kill it, but if you still had it in your system it makes sense. I think it has something to do with the benzos working on GABA receptors... I'm not sure though.
 
xanax kills my roll for sure. 100% mute.

clonazepam is weird. did that once, and it didn't really kill the roll, made the roll feel kind of drunk... smoked some hash and experienced retrograde amnesia for a few minutes... i didn't know who/where i was, what i was doing there, who i was with lol. scary, lasted about 30 mins i think.

never crossed any other benzos but i know to keep xanax the hell away from rolling. idk how other benzos act.
 
I consider myself sensitive to mdma, i dont need a lot to get floored, and never have.

I took a valium the night before, but i forgot this and took a 100mg capsule

I didnt feel anything :( Then i remembered i had taken valium the night before lol
 
^ that's good to know, i won't waste a valium trying.

I think klonopin is the only thing it just made me feel kind of drunk before I smoked hash... once i smoked hash on klonopin + MDMA i was completely wasted lol. not so much in a sensory and balance as COGNITION which is probably worse lol. temporary no memory of previous 5 years of my life for about 30 mins lol. seriously.
 
Thanks for the replys guys, I was getting worried my shit was bunk, i basically felt a 1/4 of a roll and I'm gonna try again tonight just at home (just to check that the gear is good because last time i was at a concert and dropped and it failed, i was PISSED OFF and raged and left half way thru) , i'll drop 120 again see how it feels, havnt had any benzos for 2 days and they where etizolam with only 3 hour half life or so.
 
Benzos are the MDMA antidote. For that matter, they are the antidote for about all other psychedelic drugs that release serotonin.

Yes, it does have to do with the GABA receptors, but more specifically how they react with serotonin receptors. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitters, inhibiting excitatory functions of the mind and body, which is why they are so good at relaxing people, lowered heart rate, slowing breathing etc. Another thing GABA inhibits is the release of serotonin.

Serotonin is not the only thing involved in a roll but it is a HUGE factor. The fact that you felt little no no euphoria really isn't that surprising.

I'm not sure what etizolam is, but a lot of benzos have very long half lives, so you'd still be metabolizing some of it the next day. Especially, valium, actually Sam I believe valium has a longer half-life than any benzo out there, up to like 20 hours, there's really no chance of rolling the day after that, but don't quote me on that.
