Hello all,

I am asking this question for a friend I gave some MXE to. He's already snorted a couple bumps and likes it, however he would rather IV it. I did a small amount of research here on BL and didn't come across anything concrete although I'm sure there must be something here - If there is, I would appreciate a link!

First of all, can this be done? Does the dosing stay the same? I know with certain drugs (like Ambien) IV'ing them can completely change the experience, is this something to be expected with MXE? Is there any sort of rush?

Not worth the risk. Try IMing it first, if you must inject it, people usually recommend that ROA. Oral is my ROA of choice for MXE, as its BA is much higher than it is for snorting, but IM surpasses that by a long shot. Oral is the best and safest way to go, there is no reason to IV something that doesn't even give you a rush.

He did in fact end up injecting some and had a pretty good time from my understanding. He said for a little he was tripping much too hard but other than that short span of time he was having a blast.

BTW, some people (me not included) enjoy shooting things up more than they enjoy the actual drug. My friend has essentially become addicted to the process of prepping a needle and injecting it into his veins.
 
Just IM mxe, it's a similar score to ketamine in that the finest experience of effects is widely considered to be had by IM, with IV offering little or not improvement for anyone unless they have, as I suspect your friend does, an IV fetish.

If you're jonseying for a shoot up ceremony why not just inject saline for the placebo instead of injecting dissociatives like MXE. If you get a rush it must be worlds apart from the typical sensation you've come to expect from IVing more 'IV compatible' stims/opies.

I'll pass that information on to him. Like I said, he did enjoy the experience (he thought he was Thor for like 45 minutes) but perhaps IM will produce more desirable effects. He also said that there was a, albeit minimal, rush as well as an unusual taste in his mouth following injection.

I can't say for sure but I think the act of injecting a drug has something to do with the addiction to IV. I don't think it would scratch his itch if he knowingly injected a placebo, I'll ask him.
 
It's automatic pleasure from the process of injecting itself to some extent. It's generally considered possible for addicts to inject something benign like saline and experience a placebo rush from the familiar sensations that often immediately precede the rush of a drug.

Even if you know its saline and not a drug, the connections the brain triggers when you go through the motions of injecting may be deep rooted enough to trigger whether you know or not.
 
I've iv'd MXE and K. Both make me very hungry upon completetion. You have to be EXTREMELY careful on the amount iv'd. I personally love it, but just a hair too much can be dangerous and terrifying. I would start with an amount that you wouldnt think would get you off and build slowly very slowly from there. You'd be surprised at how little MXE is used for a proper IV shot. Also make sure of the quality there has been alot of bunk MXE around or these new MXE (substitues) that are similar but not the same.

It's worth it. Just BE CAREFUL.
 
My other friend reported no rush from MXE IV (aka this isn't like with K other ROAs vs. IV), so it isn't worth it. Also the onset might be too quick and you might fall or something.
