Misc When snorting powder hits back of throat

So I'm having this problem, whenever I snort any kind of powder some of hits ALWAYS hits the back of my throat.

Ive been using this ROA for years now with Opana, and OXY. I find it more pronounced with my left nostril.

Usually it doesn't bother me but since Im using the Generic Opana (Oxymorphone) the taste sucks and I need to have a drink next to me.

If I snort really soft or really slow it still flies back there. Im not sure what to do?

Sorry if this sounds like a silly/noob question but its annoying me.

Ive read the different techniques posted on here, like one is to close the flap in your throat, I can't mange to do that?

It doesn't matter if i close my other nostril or not. And I've tried going real slow, I'm talking snail speed.


Maybe Im doing to much Oxymorphone powder at once? Maybe smaller line would help. The OxyM i just do in one line.

I few times after a heavy night suddenly it feels like acid is leaking into your eyes, it burns and you cant see for shit. Not great when you are busy driving home. Is this what you mean? I have also had other times when it gets into your sinus above one of your eyes. This sharp stabbing pain is pretty bad. Always try and clean out after a session i think.

yeah i mean the sharp pain into your sinus above one of your eye...maybe it aint the optical nerve but thats what it seem to be considering how i felt it in my eyes and even drop few automatic tears.It happened more frequently when i was doing K(military-cath-killer abusive bumpsssss) in those supersize slush straw(idk if you have those around your area)

i mean the straw!!! LOL but actually i do wonder if you still have some Ketalean in your area??? sorry i know its not the subject it was just stronger than me too ask :)

Do you mean Cat? (Methcathinone). Or Meth. Those where in straws a while back.

Anyways, that sinus and eye shit only happened a while back with a certain dealer, it was prob the shitty cut. Doesnt happen anymore.
 
So doing smaller bumps has pretty much solved the Oxymorphone from flying to the back of my throat.

Nah its not drip, lol. Its when your snorting the powder and as your snorting the powder up the powder is hitting the back of your throat.

Like I said above doing smaller lines helped a lot along with spacing it out a little bit, Guess trying to do the Generic Oxymorphone 15mg all in one line is to much, lol.
 
Same issue here. Left nostril in fact. Always been that way no matter what I have tried. Def not drip bc I could cough and have powder puff out :) Stick with your good nostril and use a neti pot for a good cleansing.
 
It started happening to me with heroin and roxies either right before or right after I burned a hole in my septum.

I'd been going heavy and then no matter how big, small, fast, slow, angle or tube used, it just bypassed everything and hit my throat directly.

The only thing that helped, was if I mixed my dope with a heavier powder--like coke. I would pour out my dose of H or oxy, and then chop up about half a line of coke and mix the two powders together. The heavier and not so fine powder of the coke now stuck to the dope powder would hit the membranes and cavaties it was supposed to instead of flying to my throat.

(PS, once my septum was clearly and undeniably perforated, it has become near impossible for me to get a drip in my left nostril, so hitting my throat is never an issue anymore. IDK why this is, but its like the hole in my septum. And maybe some more damage I'm not aware of, has changed the size/shape of my nasal cavaties and everything I snort gets stuck somewhere up there and NEVER, EVER, EVER drip down my throat---not directly or a few mins after snorting masive lines, I just don't get drips anymore.....)
 
If you're getting powder at the back of your throat, you're not insufflating correctly. You're snorting way too hard dude. You want the lightest inhale possible, getting the drug where it counts, otherwise it's all being taken orally via drip.

I don't think you said what drug you're talking about, but I'm guessing it's an opioid, probably a roxi. I recommend you put it into solution before snorting it, it's sooooo much more effective when it's liquid and not inhaling powder. It's horrible for your lungs to be inhaling those fine particles, some pills like Opana have inactive ingredients in it that can contribute to silicosis over time, which can be fatal.

Use nasal saline spray before and after (obviously wait enough time) insufflating things, be nice to your nose, it's the only one you've got. Deviate your septum and you can kiss snorting drugs goodbye.
 
If it's oxymorphone in question, I would highly recommend racking up bumps rather than lines, the difference in efficacy was night and day for me when I stopped snorting lines of opana and learned to take multiple bumps until I was where I wanted to be.
 
i have a huge tolerance and shot 2 40mg of the old opana which gelled up a little but other say they've got lit from it i just got out of withdrawals but if you don't have a large tolerance snort like 5mg to start and snort very softly cause the drip means it is taking it orally you want it all to sit in you nose to get the snorting high

Hypothetically, I would exhale all the air out of my lungs, then position myself by the lines, and slowly and steadily inhale, it should feel natural like you're taking a deep breath in through your nose. If you're taking sharp inhales, urnotdoinitrite.
