So whos winning

^Cracker No.2 please! Polska perfection and she knows it.

Cameraman last night was perving on this blonde greek chick all night. Another stunner

That's the thing with international football, the way UEFA/FIFA advertise them leads people to think it will be a super massive clash of titans, while really only a few games will match the quality of ties between the top-5 teams in every major European League.

Still awesome don't get me wrong, but I think the players should take it more easy, I mean unless you're playing Spain or Germany, the average team, especially in the group stages is in the international equivalent of West Brom, perhaps only slightly better.

Carroll and Walcott both looked class last night, we all know their true quality and how (in)effective they are against Prem-defenses.

Same thing at the last World Cup, both Suarez and Forlan looked world-class as they were scoring and creating chances like crazy, teams were fooled by their international performances and put them in their team on fat wages. Forlan and Suarez have not scored more than 20 goals between the two of them this season.

I think the domestic leagues tell a lot more about a player than tournaments, any player can lift his game for one match and shine, the true value is consistency, being able to repeat the same level of performance regularly and against top opposition.

Then obviously sometimes the opposite happens and you have players who shine for their clubs completely choking internationally.

Buying a Player of any nationality off the back of a Good Tournament is a risky strategy.
West Ham bought fukin Gary Breen:! expecting a world class Centre Back of his performances in 2002.
In these days with huge scouting networks all the Players at the Euros are already agented up and ready to go .

Both Saurez & Forlan were already superstars in Europe before that W/C .

We ain't goin home, we ain't goin home, we ain't goin we ain't goin we ain't goin home. Italy next; don't know any of their players are they any good?

Are you serious Botfly?

You can never take a goal keeper named Buffon seriously. Probably spends half his matches with his gloves off running his hands through his hair ;)

I'm excited about playing England, they seem to have copied the boring Italian style of the eighties, while we played a 3 men defence against Spain, passed the ball around nice and had a few nice chances to win the game, which we could have won had Balotelli not choked in front of Casillas.

I think we are technically superior, however as the English will park a double decker it will be very difficult for us to score.

We will probably dominate possession as England are unable to string more than two passes together, but they could end up sneaking a win. Bah I say it's 50/50

Mattnotrik oh my days. I had to cross myself and apologise to Jesus. Oh my lordy.

Never see those types of girls at Blackburn games, home or away! Ah well, maybe the championship has fitter fans! As regards the Euros...

Not really looking forward to tonights game sadly. I hate Portugal and CZE have been pretty poor, however it's a knockout so it's a must watch. Depsite England's results thus far we have looked poor, HOWEVER, Hodgson is a quiet genius (and that's from a Rover) and Italy seem very fallible, I have NO DOUBT WE WILL PROGRESS. Bring on the Germans in the Semis!!! Sunday night is HUGE. And im drug free at the moment! Come on England!

Yeah it's very evenly matched. I can see lots of yellow cards. Hard to predict but I'll go for England, 2-1 After Extra Time. Maybe even penalties. Every team England have played so far have dominated possession so its a given Italy will dominate. If Pirlo has as much of the ball the Ukraine midfield had, England will lose.

After Chiellini went off injured the last game, Ireland started getting a few chances, which is saying something! He's a MASSIVE loss. I would definitely give Carroll at least half an hour and bombard the Italian box with Gerrard and Young crosses. Maybe Super Mario will make the difference. Not sure I'd start with him.

Going with Portugal tonight. 2-0. The Czechs could use some Karel Poborsky magic when he beat Portugal all those years ago!

Poborsky! Now that's a name that would have me eagerly tuning in! But that super dodgy journeyman forward and a load of other who knows/has beens. Yawn!

Anyway I'm getting off the net to make dinner then watch it! Stop posting pictures of money/camera hungry sluts! This is the football thread! On the pitch action chat, not WAG chat! Lol. She ain't half lovely though. Christ. 100 Hail Marys

Haha yeah I had a memory lapse, who could forget the legend that is Boo-fon? Also forgot about Pirlo he's an artist. Not to mention the cnuts Gattuso and Totti. Such a cool language and names they have.
I mainly follow the PL and La Liga to some degree; a lot of the best italian footballers like to stay in Italy it seems. Who could blame them though with that lifestyle?
Now my memory has come back I think Engerland might find it a bit tough with the epic midfield of Parker and Milner. Rooney had better be on form if we have any hope of progressing.

I feel much calmer after remembering that Messi is in the other blue shirt-wearing team and doesn't play for Italy after all.

Jiracek is very good, as good as Poborsky was anyway, Pilar is good, the right back looks decent too. Should be a good one!

at some point
these being the key words :D

I'd happily watch a penalty shootout and the Portuguese drowning in a sea of their own tears!

The Czech sides of 96 & 2004 were both really unlucky to win the both tournaments .
I won a nice touch on Milan Baros to be T/S in 2004 he was @ 66/1

I want Portugal to win obviously as i watched loads of Footy when i was their and enjoyed it all .

Does anyone else remember Postiga when he was at Spurs ?
21 i think he was terrible signing.
Since then he has still never really established himself in European Club Footy despite playing at some big clubs .

He is a typical Portuguese striker like Pauletta & Nuno Gomez.
Not good enough to put away the chances that their more technically gifted team mates create .

It was once Figo know it's Ronaldo that bears the expectation but without these phenomenal players they just wouldn't score
Goals .
I personally think this Portuguese team is decent Pepe & Alves at the back with the Full backs getting on Coentrao has impressed

Forza Portugal

We managed to offload him back to Porto not long after. Shocking signing he was. He's never, ever been good but manages to play for them all the time.

Not a good game so far

...so the Czech right back isn't that good after all! Get my money back on the 2-0 cos Ronaldo scored first:|

Portugal have to start playing Ronaldo up front, leave Postiga/Almeida/other shitbag striker on the bench and play Quaresma/Viana when they play Spain in the semi final

Portugal are a decent team but I hate them with a passion. Czech Republic were fucking shite tonight tho. I hope we don't go out with a whimper like that, go and win the game for God's sake.

DROP MILNER!
