after i hit a shot, i always let my dog lick the blood off my arm. (notice i said 'let', not 'make' or 'force') he likes the taste of blood and it feels good to be gettin licked while im rushing, weird as that may sound. my girlfriend said i'm getting him addicted due to the trace amount of dope left in my blood. i don't see how that's possible but she may have a point. he doesn't act like you'd think he would if he was really getting anything out of it, he doesnt act faded afterwards or jump on me when im cooking a shot or anything.

therefore, i'm asking bluelight for the definitive answer. should i knock it off or is it harmless bonding with man's best friend? you decide.

The only risk I see is risk of bacteria from your dog's mouth getting into the wound.

I don't see how the blood would contain anywhere near enough actives to even produce threshold effects on your dog; after all, your blood is flowing. It isn't as if the molecules are going to stay near the injection site, it's going to rush to your heart.

Seriously, why would you do this. And getting the dog hooked on dope is the least of your worries, you should be more worried about picking up an infection from the dogs mouth after he's finished licking his arse.

people licking their own holes from shots is bad enough from the bacteria present in OUR mouths but your dog doesn't have the ability to kill a lot of the bacteria with his saliva and dogs tend to put a lot worse shit in their mouths so you really want everything that is in your dogs mouth in your fucking blood stream?

Jesus christ. You and your girlfriend are future darwin award winners.

i use alcohol wipes pre-injection, using them post- just makes it bleed more. and i do wash my arm with soap and water afterward. thanks for the replies though.

^This doesn't matter. Soap and water or not afterwards, the risk is still there.

When drawing out the needle from now on, apply pressure with a sterile cotton ball.

I know it's somewhat of a bonding experience between you and your good friend but due to the risk I implore you to reconsider.

Oh it's ok to let your dog slobber in your veins as long as you wash with a little soap afterwards!

Do you even hear yourself?

You need to be swabbing with isopropyl alcohol both before and after injection, pre and post.

And yeah... the dog thing.... cut that out, for your own good.

Im sorrry, but I am almost breathless with laughter. I swear this looks more like a good attempt at trolling rather than an honest question...
