They don't have tomato sauce or snails in Soviet Russia? Seems to be pretty damp country like here or is too cold and hot? I know they have quite extreme weather. I'd starve if I couldn't have tomato sauce, I have it with everything bar curries and desserts. But they seem to eat soups and other strange things most of the time.

Just happened upon this thread whilst searching for infos on drug-taking and stomas, so if you don't mind me giving it a bump...

My colitis finally got the better of me towards the end of 2012; my swollen bowel perforated infecting loads of major organs and I had to have emergency surgery to whip the whole colon out. I was stuck in hospital for 7 weeks with basically nothing working, but I made it home in time for Christmas and am doing much better now. So much so that my thoughts have turned to drugs again... so it would be interesting to hear if anyone else has a stoma or knows someone who does, who is still an active drug user.

I wouldn't have said having the bag has really affected my life negatively in any way thus far, but I do miss being able to have a good sit down and read on the toilet, and not being able to fart any more is truly devastating. I'm able to get a j-pouch formed in about 12 months time, but I suspect it won't be the same as the good old days.

I don't use opiates really but in hospital following an accident and being on IV morphine 24/7, I didn't poop for 9 days. Took 3 of those gel sachets and a good 45 minutes to force out the first lump of granite.
 
I feel ur pain isuffer bad ibs when not using any opiates but its opposite always have diahorea but now im on oxy 2 days is fine for each poop on methadone 14 days was max between poop using super laxatives too 8 hr givin birth to that bugger near cryin in pain an choked shitter totally was width of fist 12" long at least and I had a hell of a job breaking it up to flush lol
