Well the poll is up. Obvs if you can't find Naked to purchase then this might be an issue, but I'm a poor student strapped for cash and may consider a suitable alternative to buying DVDs off amazon.

I voted for the secrets in their eyes because it's the first on on the list, I haven't seen it yet, and I already purchased it. But it might be shite.

Everyone can vote knock :) I voted for Heart of a Dog, and will probably end up watching it one way or the other because Bulgakov is the best author who ever lived*.

I have naked and primer on DVD, if anyone needs to confirm I have a 'genuine' version, I'll be happy to snailmail them one (ie: a copy) just so they can check and make sure

I was a bit perplexed when I saw you write that in the other thread, mainly because 'Master &M' is one of my fave books
 
Have we got to purchase / request proof of all the nominated films before the race starts to ensure we have the right one?

Is it just me that finds myself incredibly funny? I know it's bad form. I still kinda want an answer though.

For those interested in Russian movies (who isn't 8() there is a channel on pootube called 'Mosfilm' which is the biggest Russian film producer (historically). Most of their films are available for free. Films like 'Solaris' 'War & Peace' etc. Fill your boots.

I read it while I was doing a railway journey round Europe. When I got to Montenegro I was reading it in the garden and the American owner and his Russian wife ran out and explained that their hostel called "Hippo Hostel" is named after the cat Behemoth which apparently means hippo in Russian. I'm not an avid re-reader or re-watcher, but that is definitely a book that requires at least half a dozen reads to understand. Even then I don't think we can ever truly grasp it without speaking Russian.
