Misc Welbutrin...recreational??

i started taking Welbutrin the other day and i noticed after just taking 150 mgs, that my mood seemed to rise, i became more social and energetic, and sex drive was increased..problem is, i also seemed to get a little more anxious..overall a pleasant experience so i wonder how you guys responded to this medication??anyone take it recreationally??
 
yes it is except its milder but there is NO crash from what i noticed which is nice and long lasting as well..

Wellbutrin (bupropion) is a dopamine and norepinephrine reputable inhibitor. Bupropion is actually a substituted cathinones and is a mild stimulant. However, saying bupropion is recreational is a bit of a stretch IMO, and the ammounts needed to probably obtain any euphoric effects would almost certainly cause a seizure, as Wellbutrin lowers the seizure threshold (in fact, many people have had seizures from therapeutic dosages alone.)

In short, you might achieve some mild stimulation, perhaps some euphoria, but those effects will fade almost immediately, and upping your dosage is really asking for trouble. Make sure you also do not mix bupropion with other substances that lower your seizure threshold (tramadol, alchohol, certain SSRI's etc..)too. All in all though, don't abuse your wellbutrin, it's not worth the risk.
 
I would not call it "recreational" in the slightest. It can provide a bit of mild stimulation, but IME sometimes the peripheral effects were greater than the central stimulation. With me, this seemed to primarily take the form of some possible vasoconstriction and definite (high) blood pressure effects, which were greatly magnified by even low caffeine intake.
 
i was on wellbutrin for about a year...it was slighlty stimulating for like the first month or two, but that effect faded. in fact, all the benefits from it faded after a couple months.
 
missed out on the recreational effects of this one....
must not have been paying attention.

is wellbututrin worth getting irecently got a script for that and some ativan, i couldnt afford the wellbutrin atm so i was wondering if i should bother hitting up my parents for the $ to get it, im coming of of celexa btw
 
all right i think im going to give it a miss than, unless ,my parents want to pay for it outright, honestttly the ativan was all iwanted in the first place.

How else could you get so rich w/o a useful product or skill?

Or... in other words...there's probably no point in getting it. W/e feeling the OP may be experiencing here, at first/ is either placebo or a side effect which will be gone w/in
a week or two...
It's not recreational at all...and if you were only looking for ativan..
well, you found it..so why do that to your body for no reason?

i wasnt looking to get wellbutrin for recreational purposes, it was reccomended by my doctor for my depression since celexa wasnt working, but when i went to the store, the ativan was all i could afford.

hey..i don't believe in AD's anymore..but I gave them their fair try.
but that's me and my body...
it can take a long time to find out what's right for you...
there's no way then, for any of us here, to know whether this med could work for your depression.
everyone's body is different.
maybe let the dr. know you can't afford it...and he/she could give you samples or help you out another way.

yeah, im trying to make up my mind i saw sligt beinifits withg low doses of celexa but i hated the side effects, and the benifts went away pretty quick, even after i doubled my dose i didn't realy feel anything, i was just trying to find find out if wellbutrin would help me at all, i ended up getting it and took my first dose this morning, hopefully it helps
