Opioids Methadone two days in a row

So if I took 25mg of 'done today (my typical dose to get sufficiently high), what would happen if I took 10mg tomorrow? Since there will still be at least half of that 25mg left in my body tomorrow, would the 10mg be enough then to get where I want to be? Or would it be too much? I certainly wouldn't be taking any more than 10 as that's all I have left.
Thanks.

Half life doesn't exactly equate to how high you're going to get or for how long, it's only how fast it is metabolized by your body before it's excreted in some way.

If it was dangerous to take the same amount of methadone 2 days in a row, they wouldn't use it for opiate maintenance.

10mg tomorrow will probably feel like 10mg would have today.

It's best to wait a week, at the least, in between doses of opioids to feel the same, exact high at the same dose.

Methadone does build up in your system, so it can be slightly dangerous for someone who has a low tolerance to take the same dose multiple days in a row. It takes about a week of taking it every day to reach peak effects, which then stabilize. That's why when people go on methadone maintanance treatment they start you at a low dose, then wait a few days before raising your dose.

Since the OP is talking about taking a lot less than the dose they can normally take they will not be in any danger, and the methadone remaining in his/her system could potentiate the new dose, it's hard to know as there are a bunch of factors involved. I do not think 10mg is going to feel like 25mg though, it just might feel like 13-15mg.

Here is a chart showing how the levels rise if you take methadone every day:

However, I would NOT recommend taking methadone multiple days in a row if you aren't already physically dependent on it. You do NOT want to get dependent on this shit, it's absolutely miserable to quit.

You might feel a slight mood lift, but you will not get high like you did with the 25mg. Tolerance with Methadone builds especially fast, and I've found that even taking the same dosage the second day, does not reduce nearly the same ammount of euphoria than it did the day before. I'd save the 10 mg for another day, cause you're going to waste it. Also, please don't try to potentiate it with benzo's or other CNS depressants.

Thanks for the more scientific answer swimmingdancer, I was just going from personal experience.
