Festivals 2012

That would be exactly the plan though anyway. Go to festivals to get absolutely spannered to the back teeth and rave like a loon, chat absolute jenkem to any tortured looking souls. I'd probably see Kasabien again and SHM is the only 2 headliners I'd be fussed for. The slam tent on the sunday I doubt I'd leave at all.

The Slam Tent is absolutely fucking awful on one of the days. Fuck knows who they let book the acts for that day but it's absolute shite. The other day has an amazing line-up though, the sort of line-up I'd expect from a Slam night. I can't remember whether it's the Saturday or the Sunday that's total pish but it should be fairly obvious what one I'm talking about.

RS - The main stages at Rockness have a fucking terrible line-up. There's almost nothing good at that festival other than the acts booked by Soma & Sub Club, but they have booked some pretty good folk.
 
Yeah agreed really, few good dj's but I do mean a few. Decided it wasn't worth the hangover/comedown and I could probably have a better sesh in town/at mates if I want to, so the tickets sold.

I've got one of my pals to shake on it though we are def doing Creamfields, it's cheaper than TITP and a better line up by miles.

Pretty sure you can volunteer through Festival Volunteers still, work a couple of bar shifts for a free ticket. You have to get there on Wednesday though.
 
Aye I just received a text saying there's voulenteer shifts available, very tempted. Citrus events told me there were paid shifts 3x8 hours at £6.50/hr but I said I didn't want them because I was working at the time and couldn't go >_<

Tempted, actually. Wasn't going to bother as Boomtown is clearly the way forwards, but if I can swing time off work I'm tempted, poss to volunteer as very skinted.. would be nice to fit in more than one festival :) might check the lineup before bed.

Why do you have to choose? I'm hoping to do Glade, SGP, Boomtown, Waveform and maybe Shambala and/or Bangface. One festival in a summer is pathetic love, go hard or go home ;)

Haha I don't want to choose, I was saying that one festival isn't enough :D got myself a Boomtown ticket so that's a definite but Glade is a distinct possibility too. Bangface as well, although I thought the caravans were sold out? Is there another option?

SGP I'd be tempted to steward, and Shambala. It's just working out the logistics with work.. hmmmm.

Also, I bet I could go harder than you :p ;)

^ Is there?? Perfect! The one thing that has put me off in the past is the non-camping side - can see it might be fun but I'm an outdoor festival girl at heart and usually can only do a few each summer, so Bangface has been sadly sacrificed. Other reasons too, twice I have had a ticket and had to sell it :|

Reckon I'm up for it :D now to convince some mates to go too..
 
Bit late notice, but for any BLrs around Ireland or willing to travel. There is a Psytrance festival in Cork on Saturday 30th that a few of us up North BLrs will be heading to.

Basically a evening/night filled with Psychedelic sound ranging from Ambient>Full On Psytrance. A lot of people here aren't fans of psytrance but over here we have quite a big scene for it so hopefully it interests some of you. Very cheap as well at the low cost of 15 Euro if you consider it now. Hitch down and you're sorted!

If anyone is thinking of going, be sure to send me a PM. :)
