I've learned to ignore most of Blunstie's posts on anything related to this kinda thing, mainly because I don't really value his opinions much as they largely seem to be underpinned by entrenched viewpoints that he's not open to changing. so there's no point. we've all got those mechanisms going on, but I don't believe he's got a thorough understanding of his, nor a well rounded sense of self-awareness needed to develop his understanding in that area. despite his Jung 'obsession' (his words not mine). he'll probably get there eventually, but I think it takes more life experience than he seems to have under his belt at this point in time, and it also takes the ability to be a little less defensive. I haven't got a thorough understanding of his either, since it's impossible to really know someone else's, but i think it is possible to observe when they're at work.
so I've just learned to mainly skip his spiel and just stick to topics we do identify with, and there are a few of those luckily.
I've learned to like him more because of changing my approach with him.
