all the jazz i know is the wwoz sounds. :/ i don't like jazz unless it's trad and then i don't like it enough to know more than a few of the names.

I've been listening to this for days. have the actual album (vinyl for all you young'uns) purchased by my parents back in the day. I remember how it taught me to love sadness or to not feel sad when feeling sad or something inexplicable like that. I think of it as a goodbye song. Like when you have to say goodbye to something or someone that you really, really love and you are aching but inside that ache is this soft grace of acceptance and from that this overwhelming sense of what is beautiful. All that from a song. I guess I can thank my parents for good musical taste. And Bill Evans for his depth of emotion.
