We neither do Suf & Turf or Surf & Turf. We don't even do Surf & Tuf...

Once a guy brought home a Suf & Tuf from holiday to show the villagers and got burned alive in a huge wicker effigy of Donald Trump's hair, apparently. According to the News of the World, anyway.


...What is surf & turf? I've heard the term before but have no idea what it means.
 
^ I got acid (not the good kind) in my eye before which prepping the bottom of the boat for painting, so I'm not seeing my best. The temazepam isn't helping. ;) Thats not a wink, it's how I look right now.

Surf and Turf is just like it sounds. The meal includes something from the surf (the ocean) so shrimp, lobster, crab, or fish, and then something from the turf (land) which is usually a steak, but sometimes a rack of ribs.
 
^ Catch some shrimp or lobster in the reef, then come call it that. Nothing but crabs, and shite fish I wouldn't eat in them reefs.
 
I thought surf and turf was presumably a popular activity where people go for a surfing session followed by a session of turfing, as in laying turf over things. I mean, what else could it mean?

Do you Americans know about bangers and mash?
 
I had some good kielbasa yesterday. I'm not usually a fan of Polish food, but that was good, but it depends on the brand.
 
You could have black pudding and mash if you prefer ;)

i don't mind blood sausage, tho i have to be in a certain mood to want it. my grandfather used to make (stuff?) sausage himself when i was little.
 
I'm all for most sausage, blood filled or not, but the typical pork sausage the English place on your plate is is a fatty, jelly like nude cock tasting casing of fail that it makes me gag. Ditto the greasy battered fish that a lot of chippies inflict on the local community. Crumbed fish n chips is nice, but a light beer batter is even gormet compares to the pub grub shit I have gagged on over the years in the ole dart.
 
Aye most Brits seem to think a good quality sausage is one that tastes like generic 'sausage' like what school gave us, and like them stumpy and small and with a transparent film-like skin not unlike the outside of a paintball...

Trust me, there are good sausages on every corner in Britain, they're just more expensive. My favourites are the pork & apple ones...Fat, juicy and with little chunks of sweetness that weirdly goes well with the pork meat.

I would have thought America officially sells the worst sausages...the kind you buy by the jarful and give to little children at parties. The kind that are all daisychained into one long grotesque pigmeat rosary.
