What are your opinions on RAW papers?

I started smoking them exclusively when I heard about them via friends, music etc.

I think the "taste" factor is over rated. They are by far better than other papers and DO bring out a slightly better taste, but I still taste the paper to be honest.

Nothing gives me a better taste then a cooled down piece of glass (medium sized bubbler or small bong)

What are your opinions on Raw hemp papers? Are there other papers that bring out the weed taste more? Cause if there is I would like to try them.
 
Iv had some i like, and some that were incredibly hard to roll with. I think i got these rice paper rolling papers once, they were supposed to be almost flavorless, but the paper was soooooo smooth and thin, it was impossible to roll well as the paper wouldnt catch.

I agree that nothing matches the flavor, or lack there of really, of using a glass piece. What i mean is as long as you pipe is clean the glass itself does nothing to taint the flavor and the burn of the weed in your bowl.
 
I rarely use gummed paper when smoking, and that's if I don't have any of my non-gummed stuff. I think the whole OCB et al. is overrated, and most papers other than old-school real cigarette papers are just the same and are basically shite.
 
i've had the same prob as neko. no fucking friction. king blues, buff weed, all you need.

or silvers if you want a slow burn and to get tripped out by the imprint.
 
meh i use like OCB and RIZLA but to be honest i dont give a shit. Bongs and pipes are more my thing :D

I feel your pain with the rice papers but a little moisture can fix that. But if you think the rice papers are hard try rolling with the pieces of shit. You get absolutely NO friction at all and all the damn thing does is slide out of your hand only to have you drop your bud all over the carpet... Mines green.. yeah kinda hard to find the ground up bits on green carpet -_-

Sounds to me like a weed tray would minimize any damage this situation might cause.
 
Fuckyeah, cellulose papers! They burn so shittily but they taste awesome, they're trippy as fuck to see the weed through the cellulose, and they're healthier for you than smoking paper/hemp paper.

Maybe they're not healthy, on second thought, something about cellulose containing glycerin, which is toxic when combusted? Oh well, it looks badass.
 
I find hemp paper very very hard to roll with, in my experiance it doesn't “catch” like other papers and tends to slip and loosen on me. I don't like using them at all.
I use rizla slims and backroll them so I can tear off excess paper. It tastes wonderful.
 
I hate rolling papers - especially the hemp ones - but in the rare case I am using them, it's EZ Wider or Slow Burning Zig Zags. They're the easiest to manage IMO, and always consistent. If they turn out hard to smoke or ugly or poorly burning, it's the rollers fault, not the paper.

Otherwise, stick to blunts & bongs ;)
 
A friend gave me a few packs of Raw papers, I like them. But my papers of choice are OCB premium. I can't understand why someone would want thick paper to roll their joints, but to each their own ;)
 
I'm with Chainer on this one. Bongs and blunts all the way! Dry pipes are cool, too. Joints are a straight up waste of the dank, even if you roll your joints better than Saul Silver.
 
^ I don't smoke weed, only hash (because there isn't much weed where I live). I put some tobacco in my joints.
 
First papers ever: Randy's wire joints.

I actually never got around to rolling my weed in there, but I practiced my rolling skills with throwaway oregano joints. Something about smoking aluminum/tin/whateverthefuckthatmetal sketched me out, although it would have been badass to hold the wire when it got down to the roach. %)

By the way, for best taste, smoke clean, dry pipes, like pipes and steamrollers. Water filtration really kills the taste, even with fresh water for every bong rip out of a clean bong.
