I'll make it every time you do it. Just stop abusing the mod position. Either make a point or say moving on. Don't do both and imply that there will be some sort of trouble if I dare reply. It's very simple.

See you are doing it again with this very post. You can't even see it... Even Marmz and Knock who both have a lot of time for you and are in wide agreement with almost everything you say are in agreement with me - which is stranger than pigs flying. You don't even have to say moving on, you just have to shut the fuck up.

Erm yes it has. Who else but a mod would say things like "back on topic" and "moving on" etc.? They wouldn't. They would just make the point and leave it at that, or stop if they had nothing more to say. Only the position of moderator allows you to say both simultaneously. You see, unless I am taking the piss out of Sam's little last word system, I don't say moving on after i've said something. It is very easy for Sam to avoid these confrontations - he can either say "Moving on" as a mod would/should or he can make a point. Not both at the same time. It's really not that difficult for anyone not involved in petty points scoring, which mods certainly should not.
 
Argh but it's so PETTY. It's spreading over too many threads and pissing too many people off, myself included. Just please give it a rest in the interests of the sanity and weariness of everyone else in EADD.

Tried it before. I have (over the last couple of days) begun raising the issue in public in the hope that something changes. You can just gloss over these arguments surely?

The whole thing is based on pettiness on both sides, but i'm not going to let someone in a position of power get one over on me by abusing said power. I don't say these things to you, so all he has to do is one or the other, not both. He wants the last word so he brings his moderator position into it, so he can stop and so too will the pettiness. I would expect that the person who has been awarded the position of power would be expected to stop being petty rather than the mere member? If I don't reply to him when he behaves like that it looks like I have just bottled out because i'm scared of his authority, or admitted the point he has made is right. Do you not see that?
 
Erm no, fuck you Sam. All you have to do is not reply to me if you want these things to stop. Or just say "on with the thread". You don't need to wrap an insult or a point up in it, because that's abusing your position. Even now you are abusing your position. These altercations don't need to happen - JUST MAKE A POINT OR MOVE THE THREAD ON DON'T DO BOTH. YOU ARE STILL DOING IT. EVEN NOW YOU COULD JUST LEAVE THIS THREAD AND IT WILL CARRY ON AS NORMAL.
 
I'm mental? You're the one who has his friends agreeing a point against them with someone who they feel it is physically painful to agree with, yet still can't see the flaw in himself and seek to improve it.
