How often do you usually have to take codeine to get addicted to it?

Purely psychologically speaking - physical symptoms apart - how addictive is it?

What are the physical symptoms of codeine withdrawal and how much do they last?

How is the tolerance buildup? How long do you have to stay off it to get back to zero tolerance?

i have used it before and didn't think it was very addictive, i found that my body built up a tolerance to quick to have enough to get addicted if that makes sense, like on the first few days i would feel the effects of it, but the same dose n the third day wouldn't give me a buzz! but just helped with the pain relief that it was prescribed for! hope this helps!

id say its pretty addictive , i started experimenting with it about 3 months ago , and have only used it about 10 times approx , already i need abit more than a box to be completely satisfied , although i had 2 periods of time where i used 3 days in a row , one day 600mg , the others 400mg . the other time i used two days in a row , and didnt get that high from my normal dose (400mg) .

Codeine is an opioid that is converted to morphine , so codeine is an opiate , opiates are addictive .

Codeine and Morphine are more physically addicting than their semi-synthetic counterparts, so careful with high dose codeine, especially if you have overactive CYP2D6 enzymes and convert a lot of it in to morphine, that shit will catch up to you.

Opiates are opiates and the end of the day, just because you are using codeine or hydrocodone doesn't mean you won't get dependent.

My tolerance built way too quick i also find i get more buzz out off 5-10 8mg pills than if i took 55 which i did today (i do cwe im not eating all that apap :p ).

How good is nurofen plus for cwe's? Does the ibuprofen filter properly? Everytime I do a cwe on those, I am left with this white'ish shit in my water. And I've done plenty of cwe's so I am filtering it properly. It also takes fuckin ages to filter. Does anybody know why this is. Also, if i usually take 150-200mg codeine two times a week, am I going to get withdrawals? What are the withdrawals like? Is the tollerance build up permanent? Or will it go back to zero if I quit long enough?

two times a week at 200mg no, but u will need 300mg within like 2-3 weeks , then 400mg , 500mg .

apparently the withdrawals arent that bad but still pretty shitty , u will not get withdrawals from using 2 times a week .

tolerance build up isnt permanent , it just takes ages to go down .

nurofen plus is crap , not sure why but ive only heard bad about them , i get panefen plus , 30 x 12.8mg/200mg ibuprofen i think , filters quite well , but has a white dye in it which makes it deceiving , pretty sure nurofen plus has the dye in it too .

thats cuz tolerance to the euphoric effects happens much more quickly than tolerance to it's depressant/painkilling effects on the body, which is why junkies run such a fine line between being high and being dead.

codeine, morphine and thebaine are opiates. things derived from these are semi synthetic opioids (e.g. oxymorphone from thebaine), things created not from these are synthetic opioids (e.g. methadone). but opioids can also refer to any of these, opiates are just the natural alkaloids found in opium poppy.

there is no specific time that you will get addicted to codeine. you may really like it, or you may find it meh. i can't really say how "good" (crudely, addictive) it is as i've never had it without a tolerance to stronger opioids, but in the end it does belong to a notoriously addictive class of drugs.

wd's will be like all opiate withdrawal but less severe, i.e. runny nose, diarrhea, insomnia, cramps, general ache, restless legs, depression, probably all over in a week.

would take a while (i.e., 2+weeks everyday) to get wd symptoms probably but YMMV

I've used codeine to get off dope twice now. Both times I was taking anywhere from 300 to 500mg per dose initially, and tapered down to nothing. For me at least, tolerance does not build nearly as quickly as with other opioids, and withdrawal symptoms are comparatively VERY mild, I'm talking a walk in the park even compared to a mild OC habit (~40mg/day). For about two months I was taking high doses every day, and I never woke up in the night all fucked up or got anxious a few hours after dosing like I would when I was using harder stuff. I never ingested it more than twice a day, however, which probably made things easier on me. Codeine inhibits the enzyme that converts it to active opioids in the body, so you'll get a much greater effect by waiting 6-12 hours between doses.

Also, unless you're using pills without caffeine, you want to acquire ones with aspirin rather than acetomenophen or ibuprofen, as it's WAY easier to filter out along with the caffeine. Ibuprofen or tylenol-based pills require way more water to initially dissolve, meaning you've got a much higher likelihood of adulterants including caffeine in your final product. Using a supersaturated solution tek, my extractions yielded ~5ml of liquid containing almost all of the initial codeine, <50mg of caffeine and <50mg of aspirin. You just can't achieve those results with tylenol or ibuprofen.

Yeah, I've read that 5ml aspirin-codeine with a syringe filtering technique. Problem is, in my area, I can't find aspirin tablets. All I've found are some 15/24/500 (codeine/caffeine/apap) generic pills, that are dirt cheap and are what I generally use and Nurofen plus. When I want to use a higher dose, I usually combine 10 generic pills with about 12 nurofen plus. So that's (150+12x12.8 )mg. And not much caffeine. Sometimes i will eat a few pure codeine phosphate pills that i have, just for that extra hit. How long do I have to quit so I can get that nice rush again from 180mg? I've been using 180'ish mg twice a week for just over a month now.
