Should I go to hospital? Hagigat/Mephedrone/Meow/etc

So Tuesday night swim tried a popular drug here in Israel known as "Hagigat". It contains synthetic cathinone and is greatly similar to it's mirror drug in other countries such as mephedrone. Worst experience of swim's life. Swim couldn't sleep that night, and the next morning swim seriously thought he was going to die. Heart was racing incredibly fast, tremors, tightness in chest, high blood pressure, etc. It calmed down after a few hours, but the tightness in chest lasted two days, and the heart palpitations swim still has now even five days after taking the drug accompanied by occasional sharp pains in the heart area. If swim is walking or doing anything physical the heart rate skyrockets.

I've read so many horror stories online of people with similar symptoms ending up with permanent heart damage and swim is worried. Swim is in the army and all medical information in Israel is linked to the army, and they will know if swim tests positive for anything, which swim would even if hagigat doesn't show up. Should swim go to hospital, or will this resolve?

-We don't use SWIM here, we know its you that you're talking about....

Yes, you should probably go to the hospital if you are experiencing an adverse reaction.

Nope, that's Drugs Forum. Check the BLUA.

Basically - if you are asking anonymous, non-medically trained people on a forum if you should go to hospital or not - you should! We can't tell if you are okay or not over the internet, and it is FAR better safe than sorry. Anything chest/heart related really needs checking out - you could have triggered an arrhythmia (abnormal rhythm) from the stims such as atrial fibrillation. Please go, as soon as you can.

Ok thanks, I was just curious if anyone on here had taken it and had similar problems. I'll go to doctor today, can't go straight to hospital. Just hoping they don't do a blood test, if the army even finds pot in my system I get locked up for 3 months. -_- Should never have let my friend talk me into taking this garbage.

^ it could be many things - anxiety, heart still recovering from being driven to pump super-hard and fast, or it could be something like an arrhythmia which would definitely need treatment - no way of knowing.. chest pain during a stim sesh can be a heart attack too so even though it's not the likeliest thing you should never ignore it. i hope they don't do a blood test too but if they do the results should be confidential, surely?

I had to lie and say it happened randomly, and he sent me away and told me to come back in 3 days if it persists. And no not confidential, the army automatically receives all medical information via computer, and I am only allowed to see army related doctors anyway. Stupid Israel. Just hoping I'm not one of these people I've read about getting permanent heart valve damage or something. But I don't feel nearly as bad as that first day when I really thought I would die. Hoping it goes away. Bought some aspirin today and seemed to help for a few hours but now it's back full force.

^ Ah I see. I am glad they checked you over. Most likely anxiety or muscular pains but it is always worth getting these things checked as you don't want to miss something potentially dangerous..

Heart valve damage would not manifest itself so soon, or in this way, and doctors can (usually) tell by listening to the heart if the valves are functioning properly.

I hope you feel better soon, do go back if you are concerned at all <3
