Letting a Prepped Shot Sit Over Night

I made a shot of two hydrocodone pills in an oral syringe with water, but realized I haven't cleared my bowells in a couple days, as I have been constipated from opiates. I was not 100% sure whether or not I could let the hydrocodone solution sit until tomorrow and still be ok, I think I heard heroin will turn to morphine if left in water too long? So, will the hydrocodone degrade or anything over night?
 
ur shooting vicodin!?? lol never heard of sucha thing dude... even if u did a cold water extract... still dangerous bro.. i mean ive shot a roxi (30mg oxycodone) but thats prob the lowest ill go with pills
 
also, who told you that heroin turns into morphine when sat in water too long?? ... im not saying your wrong im just simply curious because i never heard that before and thats a pretty cool fact if its true

i dont wanna sound like a "newb" cuz im not... but wat is "plugging it" ... does it mean to do an intramuscular shot?

I have plugged plenty of times, I just didn't know if the shot would be good in the morning.

And SugarHill, one of my friends said they read it on BL, I think it was heroin to morphine if I'm not mistaken. Also, I'm not shooting it IV, I'm plugging it, as in rectally.
 
oooo lol yea i no that as "boofing it" i used to do it with heroin actually wen i was afraid to IV.. its kind of a waste... id say u get a similar effect out of just eating the vicodin
 
Well I've read quite a few reports that claim plugging the hydro was better than eating it so I'm gonna give it a shot. Also, if it is higher B/A and faster onset, I don't see how it would be considered a waste? I'm also fully capable of deciding how I want to take my drug, but thank you.
 
noo need to get nasty ... i wasnt doubting ur capability of making an obvious decision... i was simply stating my opinion, which is what this sites about.. correct?? .. anyways, what i meant by it was stop wasting your time with drugs like hydrocodone n move up the scale a bit =]
 
It seemed like you were doubting me, sorry if you were not. And, I can still get a buzz from hydro, so its not really wasting my time, now is it? Lastly, You don't know how "far, up the scale" I've been, and you just made yourself look like the ultimate douchebag.

your right i guess i dont... i just "assumed" that if hydro's giving you a buzz then you haven't gotten too bad (which is obviously better than being a dope-fiend like myself) .. so i AM sorry for assuming things... and im NOT being sarcastic i genuienly apologize for bein a dick... i def dont appreciate u calling me a douchebag on bluelight tho lolol i guess ill get over it tho
 
Well, you apologized for what you said, even if you didn't mean it to be condescending, you must not be a douchebag I guess lol. Sorry if I offended you too, I think it was a misunderstanding on both of our parts
 
I would recommend refrigerating it and/or re-filtering it before you plug it just to be safe.

The only place I have ever heard that is on online drug forums like Bluelight. When I used to inject heroin I would occasionally do a shot that had been prepared the night before and I noticed no difference in effects or potency.

This is the best answer from a scientific source I could find:

Electron-capture gas-liquid chromatography was used to study the spontaneous hydrolysis of heroin in phosphate buffer (pH 6.4 and pH 7.4) at 23 degrees C. Aliquots of solution were taken over a 24-h period. After extraction at pH 8.9 into propan-2-ol (10-ethyl acetate, deacetylated products were made into hepafluorobutyrate derivatives which were analyzed quantitatively using nalorphine as the internal standard. Heroin decomposes to 06-monoacetylmorphine (06-MAM) under these conditions. Further decomposition to morphine was not observed. Spontaneous hydrolysis was faster at pH 7.4 (first-order rate constant, 9.6 x 10-5 min-1) than at pH 6.4 (first-order rate constant, 3.0 x 10-5 min-1). In 24 h, the decomposition to 06-MAM was 13 and 4%, respectively.

Basically I think it is saying that it converts to 6-monoacetylmorphine, not morphine, that it converts very slowly (only 4%-13% was changed in 24 hours), and that how fast it hydrolyzes depends on a number of factors, including the acidity of the solution. 6-monoacetylmorphine is actually more potent than heroin (see: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6543399) . Your brain converts heroin into 6-monoacetylmorphine and then to morphine when you inject heroin anyway.

Have you already prepared your hydrocodone in water? Ideally you should be doing a cold water extraction to remove the APAP and fillers, and then use a micron filter to filter it. Or are you now planning on administering it rectally instead of by injection?
