Ok, well yesterday I saw my friend, I hadn't seen him in a long time but years back we used to go to high school together.
It was actually incredibly sad to see him, and left me feeling very worried about his well being :(
He has been abusing Mephedrone ever since it was legal years back.
Whilst I was with him he literally left to the toilet to go rack up every 30 min on the dot. He told me he takes it every day in this manor, literally from the second he wakes up he has a line.
In the times he is not racking up he smokes weed literally constantly. I didnt see him once through the entire evening when he wasnt racking up or had a spliff in his hand. He told me this countinued through the day aswell, everyday. He also somehow manages to smoke 20+ a day (im guessing this is due to the stimulation he is permanently under?)
He is now horribly thin aswell due to neither eating or sleeping for days and days. He weighs 8 stone but is 6ft 2 :/
He told me he gets through between 9 and 3 quater and 10 grams in a session, and these sessions are frequent.
I was just wondering exactly how severe is this problem? I am genuinely worried for his health and how long he may actually have left all tougether, but as I physicically cannot take mcat as it gives me such painful heart palpitations the next day im really not sure how bad it really is.
He was also silent the whole time when not taking about his drug use and seemed to exhibit alot of signs of quite severe depression :s He also said he was suffering from a permanent headache which had been lasting for months and got so severe at points he could not physically move. This worried me the most actually, what could be causing that? he was also shaking constantly, too the point he could not write with a pen.
So im really not sure what to do really :/ How severe is his problem really? Is there anything I could do to help him? What should he do?
Thankyou for any help!

Having had experience with Mephedrone, it most definitely reads like he has a problem with continual use.

The most important question is to gauge whether he thinks he has a problem himself, and if so, does he want to seek help for it.

Best of luck

I am totally addicted to mephedrone, I am quite good at abstaining but i'm definitely an addict. I thoroughly believe that meph is the most addictive drug since Meth made it big. Really insidious and it sneaks up on you. I bought 4g this week, having not touched it in ages... wish i hadn't, its turned me into a sleepless mongol.

I was selling it when it was legal so i guess this is KARMA.

Also one of my good friends has gone off the deep end from meph use, he's not the same guy, i hope its not permanent but i'll carry that guilt too.

Seemed like the best shit out at the time though :D

A permanent headache sounds like extremely high blood pressure. Perhaps you can convince him to have his BP taken? You can only live with really high BP for so long, before something ruptures, or you have a heart attack. All the stories of chest pain, and possible heart damage, are enough for alarm bells to ring. Even if he does stop, he may have fucked up his heart valves, permanently. This is one thing I've never abused, because of this. I just had a palpitation thinking about it. Cathinones are dirty. There's already a meph addiction thread....merge?

I totally agree with you, altough I've never tried Meth and don't think I'll ever will

Must have been a bit of an experience that one...

my mate started taking meph daily about 4 months ago. since then he has been kicked out of his home, moved into the ymca, started injecting the stuff, sold all his possesions for it to the point he just lives in a room with nothing but a bed

Aaargh, sounds awful :(, and in only 4 months...! Hope he gets out of it, soon

can't imagine the comedown you'd have if you stopped after taking it every day for months. it's bad enough after one day.

i get no brain zaps, unless I've had a multidose binge with M1 in combo...

I've stopped comboing with M1, as it not worth the after effects.

Meph alone is benign and gentle.

Never had brain zaps from meph. abusing MDMA on the other hand, had them for weeks. especially after sniffing it. but still nothing on a meph comedown

Brainzaps though... they're fucking annoying

Cathinones are dirty.

Silly unjustified blanket statement. Talk about the negative stimulant effects it can have (heart palpitations, circulation problems etc) that most stimulants can cause or talk about the subjective sensation of a negative body load for you, don't make a ridiculous vague statement like "cathiniones are dirty".

Not sure how people can enjoy meph every day, apart from the general toxicity, the side effects and the comedown, it will inevitably lose its magic, which is the great thing about it. But that's addiction to you I suppose

Isn't M1 another name for Methylone?

I've never had any negative effects from Meph other than being groggy and tired, and having a painful snout. Never felt any "comedown" effects, and I never even fiended (yeah, I'm one of those weirdos).
How much were you caining to get brain zaps?

Sorry, let me rephrase that; I think cathinones are dirty. The residual stimulation feels disgusting, to me. The tons of horror stories of persistent chest pains, and blue limbs (something I've never seen with established stimulants, even in huge doses) was enough to scare me away from meph, after a couple of tries. Methylone gives me horrible insomnia, and a blinding comedown. So, IN MY OPINION, cathinones are dirty, and shit.

yeah M1 = methylone

Is Methylone still about since the ban then? I never tried it when it was legal because I heard it was pretty underwhelming, but I might have been misinformed. Can't be that bad if it's still got a market.
