How bad can heroin withdrawals actually be? Help!

I would have to say that doing 2-400mg oxy every day for 8 months and .5g SHOTS of heroin daily for 2 months would definitely cause some badass fucking withdrawals.

Combined with the heroin making him better (not just suppressing symptoms, hes better, heroin wont rid you of fever and EVERY SYMPTOM if its something besides w/d) and not high i'd say its definitely some badass fucking withdrawal.

For me puking was never a big w/d thing but i know it definitely was for others.

I agree...I vomited for a week solid..I thought i was going to die..My stomach lining was way gone. Nasty green/yellow stuff...It lasted a full 7 days for me...I think its WD....But you could have a stomach infection as well...Who can truly say...My temperature also used to go haywire...still fuckin does !..I had a big tolerance and would use a box of 80mg-100mg in 12 hrs...solo...So i had a big withdrawal to get thru...Good luck...
Try a bit of subutex or soboxone to get you through maybe?
You shouldnt need much if youhave been off 7 days now...Id say even 4mg of subutex under the tounge...Longer you can leave it the beter...Then if you needed it 24 hrs later id go 2mg....then a few burbons mite help?<3 You have done the fucken hard yards mate...stick with it...You are almost there.;)

I know nobody wants to hear this, and god knows when i'm withdrawing I certainly dont feel this way, but a HUGE potion of the severity of the withdrawl is mental. For example, the last time I kicked at home I had been using for 4 days and was barely doing two three small shots a day, and I thought I was going to die. But when I spent 5 days in jail (for traffic tickets, just to clarify, I dont know if that makes it better or worse though) I had a habit of around a gram a day easy. The withdrawl was uncomfortable, yes, and noticeable, yes, but it was a cakewalk compared to kicking at home.

Something about the "I know exactly what will make this go away and make me feel better and I know exactly where to get it" thought adds some compulsiveness to the withdrawl that intensifies it. My two cents.

Well it has to be withdrawals cause OP said that doing heroin would relieve them.

This is the most agonizing part of WD ime. It's like simple relief is as close as an unlocking of my phone. I've seriously considered destroying my phone before and then purchasing a cheap one after to stop this aspect of it.

Fucking sucks. You need such a strong mental game or your thoughts will eat you alive.

To the OP: Any advice I would offer has been covered by the above posters, but I can offer you some encouragement. If your situation was mine, there is no way I'd be as composed as you seem. I'd be near some kind of psychosis from the torment, bitching and complaining and dropping more metaphors than Joe Budden (fruck's goin on) about how shitty my situation is. I can be a pretty competent writer when I want to be so I tend to use writing (posting?) as an outlet for my issues.

So I applaud your mental resolve and am confident it will pass (sounds like a virus overlapping with WDs, horrible luck. I just had a stomach virus, thankfully while I was still dependent so it's definitely going around).

Oh and, I'm just gonna comment on one thing. From what I've learned, read, experienced, studied, etc, I don't think it's really possible to have acute heroin WD's 7 days post final dose (operative words being "final dose," if you use, even the slightest amount during the WD's, you're going to extend them by some degree). The math doesn't appear to add up. While one can and would most certainly have PAWS, the acute stage of WD is determinant upon the half life of the given drug as the amount of time it takes before your receptors begin coming back to life (upregulation?). The more one takes of a given drug, the higher the INTENSITY of the acute WDs, not necessarily the length outside of PAWS. If this is incorrect please correct me, but it's my reasoning as to why he's experiencing a stomach virus that has overlapped the WD.

actually heroin withdrawal is really fun. it's the main reason people use opiates, so they can enjoy the warm basking glory that is the opiate withdrawal.
