Libido drops for chicks as well? I always figured it was just the guys.
Nope, it's almost completely killed mine. Why would you think it would only effect men?

the fatigue reducing, work ability increasing affects of opiates have been known for hundreds of years. opium was used for this exact purpose.
Hmmm I don't know much about Kratom, cept heard of it. Something to research! Thanks
Cowboy, over those years at work did you need to up the dose to maintain the focus?
And it amazes me how people poo poo it for THIS use but not THAT use. In America many people are prescribed it for extended periods sometimes decades.
i mainly "prescribed the morphine to myself" so i could interact socially (aspergers, social phobia), the extra "academic endurance" was just a nice plus. i didn't even know i had ADD at the time. i can't really recall how long the extra focus lasted against tolerance.Cool, so you did it for more than a year and the focus never disappeared? That's good news. I figured it's quickly go away with tolerance. Did you have to up your dose to maintain that?
yeah, i tend to make big understatements. i became totally nonproductive and scattered after quitting, for an absurdly long time. i don't know if i'll ever get all of my focus back. And yeah, I'm sure you did lose concentration after stoppingunderstatement?
You aren't going to find people who have suffered nasty withdrawals or some of the effects kokaino mention advocate its constant use for reasons like self-diagnosed "add" because the potential risks aren't justified by the benefit. You hate your job and it's easier to do if you pop a vicodin? Learn to not hate your job or get a fucking new one. Yeah of course this isn't as easy as my last sentence may imply but once you've been through withdrawal or torn your rectum from shitting bricks or something, I hardly think you'll say daily use is worth it.
If someone is in agony and their quality of life is absolute shit, then the benefit outweighs the risk, especially if the person is supervised medically and proper precautions are taken. I have chronic pain and was fortunate to be able to get off daily opioids to manage it, but when they were necessary, the physical dependence was an acceptable side effect to me to not be miserable and be able to function like a person. Your "add" isn't leaving you lying in a ball crying wishing death to stop the agony so yes, I do believe certain indications warrant use of opioids and others do not.

i did have to periodically raise my dose. because of the tolerance and dependence issues, i don't think opiates should be used daily for ADD. but i think that many people could benefit from something like 1-2x a week (i wish i had done that instead).

Here's to the ladies on bluelight *clinck* cheers!
You should check out the nudie thread in the lounge, that would be right up your alley... there are some fine BL women out there.![]()
they stop endorphin production which produces anhedonia for months after quitting which is significant i think.
er shitty cuts could still get in even if you use a proper filter.
given that heroin is never pharmeceutical grade on the street and IV users rarely follow best practise, to say opiates are harmless isn't exactly true, when their use is so interconnected with these negatives. the perfect junkie doesn't exist.
bmxgroupie you are quick to dismiss others claims (wine would help me work) just as quick as they are to dismiss yours. pharm opioids are known for being stimulating. people who take tylenol aren't high. theraputic doses of methylphenidate (ritalin) are way below recreational doses. you can't self diagnose ADD. opiates are physically addictive, if you stop taking them after an appreciable period of everyday use (a few months) you will start shitting your pants, vomiting, not sleeping for days and feel like every bone is broken. if you started them for concentration you would probably just end up nodding out all the time.
Yeah, I ain't gonna lie, after 2 weeks my bottle was empty and it was like immediate depression. Then came the trying to figure a legit way to get more. I always had a sexy romantic attraction to it just never pursued it and it was never offered. Now I am convinced it's the greatest high on earth and it's such a DAMN SHAME! Fuck. But today honestly, that little voice is fading fast and that's comforting. It's been 4 days today and don't tell anybody, but my nose and rear exit were a little drippy all week :D oh boy.
