the very thought of flossing makes me feel sick, and I'm not telling a lie, ask angelsmoke, I despise floss and cannot even watch another person floss without cringing and running away, I'd rather pull my tooth out than floss it, urghhhh, flosss :sus:

No teeth no floss (No woman no cry pun)

it's an illusionary pile of excuses for your personal accountability

I prefer to be accountable & personally responsible myself

Marmz how very...succinct ;) I am certainly no expert in the belief system of Buddhism although I take more and more interest in it.

IT does absolutely promote personal responsibility, there is no get out you actions are yours alone, the truth is to be found within and you should strive to only project out good for anything else will only damage you.....because you are part of everything. There is no real requirement to become a Buddhist as I see it, in fact in many ways that itself is somewhat of a contradiction. You can practice teachings but you must find your path and walk it ..thats all.

I think Ms halo and myself are actual not at odds on this one its just semantics, you must look within to find the truth and oneness.

I believe that quote is from Siddhārtha Gautama, there are so many to choose from on the net, I am far from learned in the words on Budhha but reading words isn't what it's about either, I'm not about to go out on the street with a rice bowl :)

One of my many pen names, like. ;)

need to sort my body clock out... dont wanna be wide awake this early,

Some of us have been up for over an hour!

It's a pleasure to be up this early in spring. You're in your twenties aren't you? I'd be on at least my third wank by now. As it is I might not even bother with the second.
If that ain't a symptom of depression I don't know what is.

Make the most of the springtime; both the springtime of adulthood and the season itself. Otherwise you'll be warehousing regret before you've hit forty. Trust me on that.

Sorry. Good morning all.

used to get out at 5.20 every morning for work, mornings are shite. woke up 6am wide awake, need to force myself to stay awake later in the evenings n move it forwards but i feel fucked by midnight. think part of it is my job is starting to knacker me out

Flossing this morn Sam ?...

Not likely. :D

I don't mind waking up at 5 and then deciding to get ou of bed (alright, what I really mean is jack off and then get out of bed, okay?) but I do min waking up at five, deciding on a 'little snooze' and then inevitably nodding off just before the alarm goes at six. Creates the feeling of having been cheated somehow.

How's life in general, Mr. atm?

Ahh... not bad TBH feel like I've gone backwards this week a bit if u know what I mean, still its a new day etc etc...

Mustn't grumble ;)

Juts burnin a copy of PTV Peak Hour to ease the morning commute, have managed to wangle unfiltered tinternet at work so may pop in later on.

And you Sir how does this fine Thursday find you, I was sup in Bradford yesterday so probably not that far away from your abode

You're all up bright and early!
Got a guitar exam today, gonna ace it ;)

EDIT: Just realised, it's not that bright and early, study leave has messed with my head. It's a weekday and a perfectly reasonably hour to be up and about...

A bit of P-Orridge in the morning, eh? Can't beat it. Well done on the intenet privileges too. ;)

You weren't all that far away at all if you were in Bradford - just across t'hills, like. There's actually a district of Manchester called Bradford - the name's rarely used now because most of the place was demolished, but it's roughly around where Man City's ground now stands. Trouble is that it still appears on a couple of street signs around the city, so there's been the odd confused southern driver over the (pre sat-nav) years who's had to pull over and check their 'North of Watford' A-Z.

As for me, I'm fairly perky for a Thursday - good stash of weekend drugs with more to arrive soon and an optimism that must have snuck up on me while I was sleeping or summat. Might have to go out this weekend slutting about, like.

And yes, trammies, it is a civilised hour! The morning's wearing on....

I love that quote.. utterly love it.. but would there be a 'within' or without?*

Where did it come from btw?

I can see the Truth in what you said and that quote.. but its also true that Buddhists aim for detachment.

The Four Noble Truths

1. Life means suffering.

2. The origin of suffering is attachment.

3. The cessation of suffering is attainable.

4. The path to the cessation of suffering.

* ive been getting right into advaita lately.
