The ANGRY thread v2

I probably don't. One other weird symptom I have, which is hard to describe, the skin on my upper body (stomach, chest, back) only feels strange when it touches anything, kind of tingly/prickly and sore and has done for a few days. Tingly and sore aren't even the right words to describe it I just don't know how else to. Wish it would all just fuck off and I would feel fine so I can get back on with enjoying the remaining days of my holiday.

I had a complication of hepatitis from the jab. It's called vasculitis. The description of your skin itching, feeling sore on touching things fits very well. But it probably isn't. probably something much worse. (Insert smiley here)

Just in case it is - vasculitis produces bruising type symptoms after a while. Good luck, you'll be fine.

Probably.

It isn't itching it just feels strange in a way I can't describe. I'm sure it's just the flu / fever of some sort and will pass. I wish it would be soon though so I can get back to my other fever, yellow. ;)

Hmm, you ever had herpes? Shingles?

Been bitten / stung by anything interesting recently? Especially anything aquatic? Trodden on anything on a beach?

Not totally random questions, I know the kind of burny / tingly feeling you mean.

Never had herpes or shingles, though had chicken pox as a kid. Shingles is itchy though is it not? I don't have an itch at all. I can't describe the feeling of my skin in words at all, it's just a strange sensation when a tshirt or whatever touches or brushes it. I have not to my knowledge been bitten or stung by anything and been nowhere near a beach for about 2 weeks, I walked along it maybe once and it was minging as fuck so I marched off it pronto. I don't think I stood on anything.

Shingles is tingly then painful. More to the point it'll leave you shooting blanks.

EDIT No I think I made up that last bit...

So apart from the pain and tingles it's win win then? ;)

I do have some red spots on my chest area now I look more closely, but not at all itchy and my whole upper body has this weird feeling not just that area. And that could just be psoriasis or something.

Would shingles explain the fever and stuff too?

Spade are you just not dehydrated, with a sweat rash and have a gut full of giardia? Add hungover and nutritionally depleted and shagged out :|

...you're getting on after all ole boy :p

I am probably all of those things Kate, I drink beer every day and have done for 4 months now, I don't eat often enough or well enough, lots of junk food and late night 7/11 and maccy dee trips, hardly any veg (it's hard to get much in the way of veggies out here), only a small bit of fruit now and again and my gut is in a horrendous state far too often but I've definitely had something wrong with me past few days.

This reminds me of the time I went to Budapest, I stayed in student dorms which were empty over the summer. I woke up one morning and my bum had turned into this:

(this is a picture of my bum so the innocent should move on to the next post)

Fuck knows what caused it, it went away of it's own accord, thank fuck.

You know Spade your troubles are likely to be 10% actual symptom and 90% eadd-induced paranoia about tropical disease. IME if you go looking for symptoms you tend to somehow find them, regardless of whether they really exist or not...They're just psychosomatic cos your mind fucks with you.

Though obviously I don't know shit. I think if it was serious you'd need to be in a hospital and I'm pretty sure you'd know it by now.

Probably right, I'm THE BEST at freaking myself out. The absolute fucking BEST!

Yeah I'm guessing if it was malaria or something really serious I'd really know about it and be laid out in bed unable to move but I've been out all day and night, been drinking, eating, I'm hungry now, I've got energy and not that tired. Probably just a virus or something.

When are you coming home? You'll be fine just get to the doctors when you get home. You're not throwing up, so that's something.

I vomited once the other day actually. Home at the end of the month but if I continue to feel sick I'll visit the medical center beside my hotel, think it's only 6 quid for a consultation.
