Herbal smoke- Possible that it could be salvia extract?

Ok well my mates bought a herbal "incense" mix from a tobacconist the other day, not sure if im allowed to name the mix, but the effects theyve described to me sound very, very much like salvia which I tried in Europe. At first I was thinking DMT as ive heard of Herbal/DMT mixes being sold in Australia years ago(dreamtime) but the more they explained it the more it sounded like salvia and one of the guys who tried this mix had tried DMT and he said it definitely wasnt DMT.

The guy who had tried the DMT said to me that on this herbal mix he felt like he died and had an out of body experience, he said that while he was out he saw the big bang and came to not knowing where he was, who he or anybody else was, why he was there etc. He had a very big cone of it though. Others who tried it were talking to people who werent there, some had visuals, some couldnt talk or walk. Definitely sounds like Salvia extract mixed with a herb (those being Verbascum Thapsus and Artemesia Vulgaris). The effects only last about 15 minutes or less so im 99% sure its Salvia. What else could it be? Has anyone heard of Salvia being sold in Australia?(Dont need to know where or anything against the rules thanks)

My other question is are there any RC's that have effects similar to Salvia? Like the same duration, same method of admin etc?

I have never heard of Salvia being sold in Australia but I will soon find out. Ive got 3 grams of the stuff but I dont want to have any just at the moment because ive had heroin today so im going to leave it until later tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Ill let you guys know but until then im just curious to know about the RC's. I am a little worried that its not Salvia and some messed up RC but im going to start off with a tiny bit and go from there.
 
There was one being sold a couple of years ago that had Sally in it. If the duration was 15 minutes and he had a big cone it does point to Sally or a tryptamine similar to DMT.

Sally was always fun when used in medium doses. I went through a stage where I continually became the couch.
 
^ This wasn't Vortex was it....i know they came in a purple vial (stronger) and blue i think it was?
 
I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be possible. Sounds like very similar effects.

The other thing that comes to mind is some synthetic cannabis, your mate maybe ripped a massive cone and the potency of the 'active' mixed into the plant material was much higher than usual.

I can't remember the name. I remember the vortex name from a few years ago though. Could have been that. There was one called Heady Dready or something similar a few years ago that I remember had Kratom in it.
 
i've bought salvia extract in australia (post-ban) and the untreated leaves both pre-and post-ban.
it is entirely possible that it is salvia, but also agree that it could be a weird RC, a tryptamine of some sort...or....i dunno.

some of the synthetic cannabinoids are known to have a very short duration of effect - sometimes i hear people say that they last ~20 minutes, but the effects don't really sound right.
then again, i've not had much experience with all of them, and they seem to be getting more and more obscure as the law tries to keep up and ban all the 'common' synthetic cannabinoids.

did your friends enjoy their trips? i've had some fairly interesting salvia experiences, but none that i particularly enjoyed.

i too would be curious to hear what the blend is called...

That's weird. Where they smokers with a high tolerance? I found JWH-018 to last around 8 hours.
 
high tolerance? yeah, i guess so.
one of the biggest complaints i seem to hear about commercial synthetic blends (no idea which chems are used to lace them) is the lack of duration. people feel very high for 20-30 minutes then it fades.
of course, this could just be the freaks i know...but i'm sure these things affect different people in different ways.
 
That sounds like Salvia man. Short duration, intense as fuck.
 
This could be herb sprayer with a strong concentration of am series synthetic cannabinoids. One that was sold by an australian online vendor was overpoweringly strong in 1 big cone for about 20-25 minutes

That is interesting. The pure powders are much better than commercial blends. The commercial blends I have tried have all been notoriously weak.

That's just one of the many synthetics though; I tried a couple (even though I'm not a big fan of pot) that were being sold in convenience stores here last year and they all were short acting compounds and I have no tolerance at all to this class of compounds.

the_ketaman: It's hard to say what this could be without testing it. It could be salvia, it could be some random RC. No one can tell you for sure, if it means anything salvia divinorum is illegal here.
 
I found out it was one of the JWH chemicals. It nearly killed me and if I had've had a bigger cone im sure it would have. The blend I had was called Killimanjaro Sky and effects only lasted about 20 minutes.

I strongly urge anyone smoking these incense blends to be very careful. I would have smoked maybe a quarter of a cone and my heartrate skyrocketed, it was beating harder and faster than ever before which is scary. I had chest pain, felt like my head was going to blow up literally and I was sweating profusely. It had a dissociative effect and I found it hard to walk or talk but was still able to panic quite significantly. It was quite simply the scariest drug experience ive ever had in my life and dont wish to repeat it. I also tried smaller amounts(like speckles of the stuff) and it felt like a dirty cannabis high for about 15 minutes then wore off. The physical effects were extreme muscle tension, sweating, muscle twitches, pain in my stomach area and racing heartbeat. Not fun at all, and a huge waste of money! I flushed it all down the toilet. The amounts that the guys who told me about this stuff would be doing would have to be very dangerous. Im surprised more people havent had a full cone of this stuff straight up and died, it cant be good for you. Im glad to hear its being taken off the market this week.

EDIT: I know many people will think I just had a panic attack but I can assure you a very small part of it was panic. I am an IV opiate/heroin and meth user and have had many good and a few bad experiences over the years that have caused me to be very conscious of how drugs affect my body and mind, and I know for sure that my body and mind hates this drug. Its definitely bad stuff. Not euphoric in the slightest.

SCs Nasty Bloody Things

Just the other day, subject decided to try out a synthetic cannabinoid (SC) agonist and purchased Ash Inferno 1.5gms.

That night subject shared a bottle of sparkling shiraz with subjects partner and then later that night packed a bucket bong with approx .5gms of Inferno.

No sooner had subject consumed inferno, the effect was instantaneous and subject thought "shit what have I done". Subject sat down and began to hallucinate and despite trying to get out of it was unable to. Next thing subject wakes up approx 12 hours later in the ICU with tubes down the throat, up the nose, and needles all over arms. Subject's partner described the missing time between hallucination and ICU as follows....

Partner fortunately came looking in on Subject after hearing strange wheezing/ snoring like sounds. Partner found subject slumped over study desk unconscious. Partner tried to wake subject but no joy - partner rang 000 and called for paramedics and meanwhile had to commence CPR as subject had stopped breathing and went rigid/ spasming (decerebrate posturing). Face was pale, lips were purple. Paramedics arrived soon after and started sticking lots of shit in subject including a needle to the heart to kick start it (was apparently around 20 beats or something at that stage). Paramedics described to partner that reaction is not like what they have seen before. Doctor told partner after approx 2 hours that he cannot be sure what the outcome will be as subject needed breathing apparatus to keep alive. Lots of yucky stuff coming out of subjects nose through all of this.

Subject finally comes around packed full of tubes etc and wondering what the hell is going on. Partner sitting right beside reassuring and loving as best as possible.

Subject is not sure whether any long term damage has occurred - time will tell.

Conclusion: Subject is staying far away from SCs & partner thinks subject is a prick (but still loves him)...

Ive tried this blend and it is usually sold with a warning from the shop that its very strong and only a small amount is needed. It's a much more expensive version of another blend (which is named after a greek god). I have never seen anyone suffer any serious side effects. It does feel an unhealthy substance to smoke and I no longer have any interest in it. If you don't have too much then it does deliver a rush that you can't get with normal weed.

No im not sure but on another forum I read that a few people thought it might have been JWH-022(I think it was this one) but obviously we cant be sure. It was a very short duration, very dissociative and quite emotionally cold feeling. Like all of the negative effects of pot magnified and rolled into one with no positive effects, all the things you wouldnt really notice with real weed because your feeling too good from the other components of the cannabis. Ive only just started hearing about the AM-xxx, Whats the deal with these kids of drugs?

I wish I got to try JWH-018 as people said that was good but I would probably just leave it alone now. I'll stick to the tried and tested, I feel a little stupid taking a drug that I had no idea what it was :s Never again!
