what do you use to relax?

Xanax! Like alcohol its Harder than heroin to get off, but was prescribed it 5years n always worked. Moderate amount of alcohol will also help as it effects your frontal lobe of your brain just like benzos do, just don't get drunk n u won't feel like shit after

Some hot rough sex followed by a joint of kush and some temazepam will help you drift off to sleep nicely in my experience ;) . Just watch it with the benzo use because alot of people run into trouble with them.

I'm gonna have to agree with Token

Honestly, I think some of us are just wired this way.
I sympathize with what you say...
and remember saying the same thing many times...

It is possible to find a way to come to terms with it.

The only 2 suggestions I can think of which haven't been mentioned:

#1..
Writing is an excellent way to let your thoughts out..if only to center them onto one thing...
I would highly recommend creatively written f-you letters for starters..
then maybe move on to short stories about the many different ways people could die from having sex...
but that's just off the top of my head..besides..
You should go your own way...

#2:
Reminding yourself of those people out there who's minds have stopped ..
Is that really a place you wanna go?

Token's #1 rule is a really good example of how to get your mind to relax. You NEED to be fully engaged in active creativity. This can mean Art or it could mean other things... Solving a simple household mechanical problem using what you have available is another example of what I am talking about. I create music. This works for me. You will find your mind focusing and relaxing while doing this. It also has a lasting affect. ;)

and millions of ppl sing ;)

I agree strongly with a lot of what Token has suggested, and coincidentally enough today i began to write things down, i wont go into detail, there not things to be embarrasd about but there not interesting either :D

As for creating music... Which style of music do you create? I have friends who are very talented (In my biased opinion) at making electronic music and as for me im a music lover... infact i would go as far to say... and i quote "Music is my first love and it will be my last"

I dont create music, i used to buy vinyl like it was going out of fashion and mix for hours on end but unfortunately where im living i do not have the space to set up my decks nor do i have the enthusiasm to mix right at this point in my life, i suppose ive let depression grind me down that far.

I suggest you never agree strongly with anything I have to say...
that's generally just asking for more trouble.;)

I watched the video..and need a hook-up for those glasses..

Phenibut AKA Phenyl-GABA is a legal GABA-B agonist, and GABA-A agonist in high doses

It is one of my favorite drugs of all time
AND YOU DO NOT SUFFER ANY MEMORY OR MENTAL DEFICIT LIKE BENZOS, It has actually been shown to be nootropic (mentally enhancing)

A high dose can give you the nod and body high of opioids, anxiety-relief and muscle relaxation of benzos, and euphoria
It can also act as an Aphrodisiac, yeah, its intense

I'm not convinced about the benefits of Phenibut at all, I suspect in time it will be found to be little better than Benzos.

If you search round numerous forums, whilst actual medical research is almost non-existent anecdotal reports show quite severe symptoms for people that start to use daily, which is going to be inevitable for many people with a history of drug abuse.

It would be great if you could get all the effect listed above when you wanted via Phenibut for a free ride, but that seems highly unlikely to me.

True relaxation in the long term is not going to be delivered through chemicals of any kind, sure there are times when they are necessary for various mental health issues ans you have to weigh up the side effects against the benefits. But true inner peace can only ever be worked towards by personal effort, whatever path you choose, we may need a helping hand through someone teaching us a technique such as meditation of some sort or art therapy or whatever but IMO we all have the tools already, we were born with them, just see how often a small child laughs and if you have the opportunity listen to their wisdom on the simplicity of the world.

I think we spend so much of our lives un-learning or at least learning to be partially sighted some of that is required in order to be able to deal with day to day living but some of it need to be opened back up again, at least for some in order to find some inner peace.

I'm not preaching BTW I'm searching to

I was referring to a quick fix, no GABA agonist should ever be used daily

Phenibut truly can be better than benzos, however, you must dose sufficiently, and carefully, not to mention individual experiences vary

I do not really think it has much nootropic potential, but I definitely notice that I'm not cognitively impaired like benzos would cause

Benzodiazepines, carisoprodol (and other muscle relaxants including baclofen, cyclobenzaprine), reading, movies, working with my collection of snakes (including "hots"), and writing.

There is very little, in the way of real clinical trials of Phenibut to make any kind of definitive statements about its possible side effects or that it is "better" than Benzos. It is widely used in Russia in much the same way as Benzos are used but thats hardly a recommendation. I agree that if used very sparingly then the reports do suggest it may even enhance cognition.

I do see many reports of people having to be withdrawn from it using Benzos and people reporting problems of habitual and daily use. This is where I have concern over using it for anxiety and relaxation, like you rightly say it may well be a quick fix but if your suffering to the extent that your using opiates then bringing in another potentially habit forming substance may not be a great idea.

The use of Benzos in the UK for treating anxiety has pretty much completely stopped as the years have proven that it's not a long or even medium term solution, I suspect the same will be found of Phenibut, in general it will do more harm than good

All that said I've finally succumbed and ordered some up...purely fr research purposes ;)

Ah, now this is some intelligent discussion!

I perhaps was a bit too.. direct, I kind of said "It will do this, guaranteed" but of course individual experiences may vary
There is little scientific data on it, you are right
Though, from what I've seen it seems phenibut has a lower incidence of cognitive deficit compared to benzos, and was my experience, so I just wanted to get across that it is possibile for someone to experience the same
It is primarily a GABA-B agonist, so yes.. benzos will only mildly help, you need to get ahold of alcohol, baclofen, or GHB in order to withdrawal safely, and even then its risky.
It is definitely something you do not want to get dependent on
And, you have a point, if one has resorted to opioids for simple stress reduction, Phenibut or benzos could be too risky to try
