Opioids Opiate Insomnia

Sup BLer's...just a curious question. Anyone else get really bad insomnia from opiates sometimes? Before I started using heroin I was doing ~200-300mg of oxy to get high and that would be a GUARANTEED all nighter for me. I can never sleep on oxy it really energizes me. Surprisingly sometimes after I do heroin which is a much stronger downer in my opinion, I will stay up all night. I've been nodding out at my girlfriends house and driven back to my house and by the time I get home I will be wide awake and stay up to the wee hours. It's probably the best kind of insomnia there is though...just laying in bed feeling beyond comfortable . Rambling....anyone else experience this with dope? I'm sure all of you have experienced it with oxy at some point.

I get the same exact thing ono piates. It's like coffee for me. Nothing you can do but out wait it and pass out. Or take beneddryl. I'd say xanax or kpin but that's risky. Plus not as available.

i wake up 4-6 times per night to smoke some 3mf (3methylfentanyl), its so short-lasting that i go to wd's in my sleep and wake up and have to take another hit. sucks massive cock, wish i was anywhere else but here (i.e someplace that has H/ANY other opiates). its 3mf or methadone at the clinic over here. thats it. oh but we get 8/500 codeine/apap at the pharmacy, yay!!!!1

Yeah 3mf is a BAMF. I am glad I don't have access to it.

Opiates cause me insomnia, and I combat this with diet and exercise.

I have a solid diet, wish I could get myself to exercise like I used to though. I'm not looking to combat it, I enjoy it lol. Just curious how you guys responded to sleeping on opiates.

JESUS CHRIST!!! I know we can't talk prices on here really...but...it's almost educational...what IS average street price? Or what is a priced you'd NEVER pay (too high...i can get a rough idea from there)

If I dose like, right before bed... no way am I sleeping solidly through the night. I have to shoot up a few hours before I'm going to crash so it starts to mellow out into a steep euphoria and nod If I'm going to get any sleep. It's an interesting kind of insomnia.. normally I hate it with a passion, like when I'm kicking.. but if I'm high on dope? I really don't care that much that I can't sleep well. Ha.

I get it all the time (opiate insomnia). I have a feeling it's because opiates slow me down and thus I dont need as much sleep as usual. Plus, if you're nodding out a lot, you're basically sleeping anyway, so when night time comes your body probably doesnt need the sleep.

Stimulants, after the effects are gone, make me sleep HARD. Like 12+ hours. I feel its because they run my body at a much faster than normal rate, so being up for 18 hours feels more like 36.

and yeah, a high dose of oxycodone energizes me. Ill be washing dishes, doing laundry, vaccuuming, doing all sorts of things not typically associated with opiates. A shot of H and I used to stare at my shoelaces for 3 hours....

eta: not to be dad here, but driving while on opiates has got to be one of the worst things you can do safety wise. Trees, guardrails, ditches, etc. tend to jump out in the middle of the road on you. . Please be careful.
