D day "h vacation" from bupe, what to expect & questions about gettin bac on sub

So ive benn on subs several months and recently relapsed... It was a 4 day bing, only used 10 bags (was using 10 bags a day before gettin on sub... And now im out... Today I did a cotton shot thst got me well at round noon (only well, not high), but started gettin sick by like 6 pm... Im now semi kickimg... Took 2mgs xanax (which helped tons, even fell asleep for an hour....


Questions
Since I was on suboxone (atleast almost 6 or 7 month prior to tgis short bing)
Will it make it easier getting back on ie. Wont get as sick during the transaction switching back to bupe?


& when I get back on sub, will I still have the shitty 3 day period of adjusting? After I start taking it?

Will I still have to wait 24 hours after a cotton shot that didnt even get me high? How long should I wait?

How long you have to wait is up to you. I only waited 18hrs from my last dose to starting subs and that pretty much ended my WDs. I'd say wait at least that long, longer if you really want to feel safe.

Some people get sick going onto to bupe, some don't. I didn't. You're not going to have any real answers until you go on subs again and see what happens. Just start at a low dose and work your way up until you feel normal.

I have messed arond with taking vacation from bupe many many times, and if you only take a 1-2 day vacation you can switch back to bupe pretty much pain free. For me once I go 3 or more days without bupe the transition back is much harder. First of all the bupe is practically all outta your system after 3 or so days.

You WILL definitely have to wait 24-36 hours. For me I push it to 36 hours after my last shot of dope and I still have a hellish transition. Since this is your 1st 4 day vacation in a long time it probably shouldnt be too bad for you. You probably just wont feel too good for liek 2 days, but you absolutely have to wait 24+ hours because other wise you will get precipitated withdrawals.

Honestly you;ll get mixed opijnions, I shoot about 10 bags daily, so teh transition to bupe blows no matter how long I wait. If you have a much lower tolerance the transition is easy and actually bupe may even make you feel almost high. For a lot of us who have moderate to high tolerances bupe is hell to alternate between a full agonist and partial.

This is really true. The longer your binge, the harder your transition. The more "vacations" you take, the harder the transition. I used to be able to shoot large quanitites of dope for three days straight and then jump back on the suboxone relatively pain free. In the past month, when I've been using pretty light ammounts of heroin, even for just two days, I would feel some slight withdrawal syndromes.

Yeah, I start having a rough transition after just one day of heroin use. Two days is bearable.. but definitely not three. So far I've been chipping just on weekends, saturday and maybe sunday, then hopping back on the bupe relatively painlessly on monday. Before the next time I use, I'm going to get off of the bupe completely, I'm down to just a meager .25mg a day but want to get even lower. Then all I have to do is not get re-strung out on H....hah.

so this is how it went....
i did my last shot of d night nefore last at 9 pm. slept fine, woke up at 11:30 ish felling cold (withdrawls coming on) sp i did a cotton shot (only 1 cotton i think and cleaned the spoon too, banged that and it got rid of thw WD symptoms n actully made me feel a lil good (def not high byanymeans tho)
so later in the day i tried to scrap anything i could together to get another shot (2nd wash cottons, cleaned remnants of the bags (BTH )) and did that shot at like 6 or 630ish pm which honestly probly didnt do much if anything... so soon after started gettin sick and when i got the call i wasnt gunna be able to get any bags that night.
i took some xanax... by that time i was starting to withdrawl... so i sat up all night eating xanax (up to about 4 1/2 - 5 mgs i think) and taking 30-45 min naps in the hot shower....kicked allll night feeling like shit with it progressily getting worst until at 11-12 noonish i took 1/4 mg of suboxone then FINALLY was able to get a solid 4 hours sleep.... woke up COVERED in sweat like serious looked in the mirror my face was drenched and had two bead runnin all the way down my torso...

BUT!! the tiny amount of sub worked cuz i was able to sleep and i felt fine

today i dont feel like im in the shitty 3 day half withdrawling getting chills yada yada faze. i feel fine
got up drank lots of water, ate vitamins, and now im feelin pretty damn normal

i have another question tho. to the people on suboxone that take the "vacations" from subs to there DOC, how do your guys day plans go?
i once went 3 days using, and then stopped and by the time the 24 hour period was up I STILL WASNT WITHDRAWLING!! took my sub and got back on sub damn near pain free
if i do it againg im only taking 1 or 2 day "vacations" and would also advice

oh yea and by the way im on 1 mg daily sub insulfiation, half in the morn, half at night....
