So, before I begin let me say I'm pretty much aware from coming here for the last 2 years that my post is going to be followed by atleast a few people claiming they've tried this method and it works. Let me re assure you there either lieing or mistaken. I folowed step by step and was VERY dissapointed.

So, some of you probably seen the guid on how to make a "home micron" of sorts bypacking a syringe with cotton up to the 40 unit line (in a 1 cc syringe) and drawing through there to get "near clear solution" when shooting pills. SO I figured, I'd test it. First with a piece of suboxone strip before I sacrificed a oxy or dope.

I load a 1 cc syringe with cotton, push it down tightly to the 40 unit line, put 2mg of subpxpne strip (which has almost no filler in 60 unitsof water and mix. I start drawing up. To make a long tory short after 3 times I BARLY got 12 units above the cotton, it vcloged everytime, and I had to wind up cutting it open to try and get back my suboxone. From the orignal 60 units I retrieved 4o. I repat...20 units of drug solution simply vanished in the cotton and is nearly impossible to squeeze out. I felt COMPELLED to write this so people know the REAL deal and no one loses there drugs. Luckly this is my prescription and I have pretty much unlimited supply of suboxone. Still..it's very very wrong for someone who THOUGHT this was a good idea to claim to have done this with OTHER pills with WAY more filler. This fprum is SUPPOSE to help people...not fuck them over.

Wut? Lol...I'm so confused. This isn't about a specific drug but about how to filter them...how is that "other drugs" and not "BASIC drug discussion" ?

I appreciate the fact you mods have jobs to do but you guys get a little close and move happy at times. Atleast I don't get it. If you can explain how this is a other drug I'll appreciate it.

^the primary reason is because most I.V. related threads are handled in OD. I actually tried this myself and could never get it to work either. Besides that, I do not believe that the resulting solution would be anywhere near as pure as one that is filtered through a Micron.

ahh i see. And yes. Complete fairy tale. Whoever wrote that should at LEAST have the thread closed. And I learned my lesson..sending a money order to GP for 5 micron filters.

You cannot substitute for a micron filter with compressed cotton, as it lets in particles larger than 50ug (bacteria, talc, inactive ingredients). Micron filters need not be purchased via paypal, money order, etc. They are freely available online, even on Amazon.com

There is absolutely no excuse for not using microns, if you have the resources to get cottons and a syringe, you have the resources to acquire a micron filter.

Maybe so. But it got clogged pretty fast so I think that would be the result anyway. Besides that's not what the instructions said.

All cash. Third off although I don't agree with the placement of this thread or alot of other stuff some mods done I know better and am just going to save myself the aggravation. There's NO point in complaining. I honestly in my two years have only meet two cool mods. So I'm not even going to bother I was just making a point. Fourth, I don't think there is a procedure besides typing and posting to state an opinion. I'm not "attacking" anyone personally (which I already received two warnings for when there really wasn't an attack).

Every micron filter 'steals' a few units of solution- you adjust, accommodate and simply use a little extra water and lose fuck all. Come to think of it, any form of filtering that actually 'filters' the solution will cause a tiny loss.

This technique works- you do lose a little bit, but if you're slamming that shit with regularity you'll work out how much you lose and get on with it.

A real micron filter works much better, but it's better than a fucking ciggie butt.

I find it quite odd that from 1991-1997 I shot black tar heroin multiple times a day, every single day. Also I shot many, many dilaudids and morphine sulphates and god only knows what else in those blurry, who-knows-where-I-am-and-who-these-people-are nights. I had never HEARD of a micron filter, I always just used a piece of q-tip or cigarette filter. Never had a single problem. ALL my veins are still good, never had an infection, never had cotton fever or any of that shit. I wonder if someone here at BL has a financial stake in "micron filters".

The risks of poor injection technique are more pronounced with long-term effects. If you didn't experience anything negative, then you didn't mess up BAD, but do not assume that you are out of the woods yet, there's probably a bunch of talc and silicon blocking the fine blood vessels of your lungs.

Most of us did not start out IVing with micron filters.

The main reason they are not used is because they're not easily available to most people who use IV drugs.

In New Zealand (if you live in a city) you can get a 'drug purification pack' (micron filter, 10ml barrel, drawing needle) 24 hours a day from a needlebank vending machine for around a dollar US. As virtually everyone gets their needles from needlebanks here micron filters are as available and around the same price as needle packs.

Here I'd say that it's about 60/40 towards using micron filters, simply because most of the 'casual/experimental' IV users don't use micron filters (or don't buy enough micron filters) when they shoot, but most 'habitual/experienced' IV users use micron filters (if only because they're more likely to be shooting homebake heroin, which may be black before it's filtered).

Dirty shots aren't pleasant, no matter the size of your cock or whether or not you get abscesses/infections from poor IV practice. That's the main reason people use them, it doesn't have much to do with 'health' but because they are so available people use them- which is good.

Plus- once you've used a micron filter you'll never go back to ciggie butts or cottons or whatever. They're fucking fun little contraptions. Magic!

Actually there not. Think about it. Someone like me has no credit or paypal so I got to send money orders. Now I've been clean for about two weeks so savingm oney is easier but most addicts see spending 25 bukcs just for filters unthinkable. I have a friend who's been shooting for 40 years with just cotton. Just fine. Yes he's 63 years old. But I'm still buying mine. I'm just saying it's NOT as easy as you make it appear for most users.

It may not be easy as 123 for all users, but it is for me. I do not mean to sound like an asshole when I say that either, believe me I'm poor as fuck and there is no way any credit card company would give me a card in their right minds. But for most people, it really is easier than they think to get HR materials.
