The can actually change the texture of their skin to mimic that of their surroundings. If you zoom in on their skin, it's actually comprising of fluctuating polkadots of R/G/B, it's absolutely incredible.

You're right, meditation isn't known as the most sociable activity lol. Do you not take downers then? Or rather, do you only take new downers?

I can see a difference between people who practice meditation properly and those who don't, but I think the people who stick with it are generally quite calm in general and it's their sort of thing? I've tried it a few times but I have no where near the dedication it must require to get anywhere.

I think for me my primary interest has always been neuroscience and to a lesser degree, altered states of consciousness. So obviously drugs are going to come into that in a pretty big way. But I'm just as interested in say how meditation and other techniques can alter brain function, whether that is by causing lasting changes in the brain or temporary changes by fluctuations of brain waves (Hz). I'm also obsessed by dream states and hypnagogia as well as just how our everyday personality and the psychology of the mind corresponds to the processes going on in the brain. How the brain creates our sense of reality out of information received through the senses is another thing that I love to read about. I think understanding an mapping the human brain is just as important, if not more so than the exploration of space.

I do take downers, some more than others. And don't get me wrong I still love drugs but I'm starting to reach the age where the benefits are outweighed by the negatives (at least for some drugs). Plus I just think anything that can help better you as a person is a good thing and something that we should always strive for. But yeah, meditation can be fucking boring at first. Just laying there trying to rid yourself of all thoughts is by no means an easy task. But once you have a break though it is a pretty amazing feeling and one that any drug user would probably enjoy. Not to mention countless scientific studies have shown the many benefits it can have on body an mind.

Could be related. Hindus say 'atman' is 'brahman' meaning our souls ( atman) are a microcosm of the universe ( brahman). The key to space/ time travel might be found in our minds ..
So it could be that scientists are out there looking for wormholes etc while all the while we may be carrying them around inside our heads.*

* Also remember reading somewhere that 'the kingdom of heaven is within us'. ;)

When it comes to mystical type stuff like that you have to take into consideration when it was written. They didn't have the technological, medical, and scientific understanding that we do now and so they just mostly used their imagination instead. In most cases it's pure fantasy and in not in-keeping with what experiment has shown us. So no, I cant really see a correlation between the two. Imagination is a good thing though.

"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere."

Equilibrium is an absolutely incredible film. Glad you've found it!

Which scripts do you mean? Sinful why? What do you mean by sin?

I'm not looking to start a war
no? :D

Actually, ATM you advised me to start a thread in Philos and Spirituality when the whole
chaplaincy thing kicked off. I think as a responsible Bluelighter I must advise you to ask this question in the appropriate place.

Unless you will be doing 3d rendering and gaming , for which you would need a graphics card instead of integrated graphics, that one will do fine though start loathing windows 7 a bit been a long time since I had a load of problems with a windows product. Last time was when I had '98.
Watching films on a lappy sucks donkey cock though.
Acer is not the best make out there, consider toshiba.

Worst part about having the cold, which is just kicking in now, has definitely got to be the aches and pains you get.

I've had considerable aches and pains today (comedown/exhaustion from days of strenuous tweaking) and I've found my etizolam has dulled this considerably. Got any to hand?

I took etizolam for the last bought of flu/cold, and it just seemed to delay it and make things worse a few days later. I think valium would have been nicer because the half life is longer and this cold going around drags on forever.

Morning EADD! I'm in a cracking mood today, good banter out last night watching the footy, never got too drunk, saw the ex AND no hangover :D also I've discovered a better way to bet, thank fuck I never put anything on the football last night. Would have definately lost concidering I was sure barca would win the tie.

Bet a few quid on the horses though and it seems far more promising and less likely to completely loose your money. Won £20 after after a couple hours of getting to grips with it, even if it's second or third back your still getting some money back! I think I've found a new addiction haha!

I bought some etiz earlier on in the year and they came in strips. I was fairly impressed..
I bought some last week which were just little, blue pellets and they dont seem to work as well.
Is there a difference?

I'm pretty sure that most of the 'pellets' out there are just Etilaam tabs removed from their strips and sold at a scandalous mark-up. There may well be some inferior ones going around though.
